Had an ambulance at my house at 3:30 am last night. I called at 2:34 after suffering a nose bleed from 10pm to 10:30 , and it started again at 11:30 and wouldn't stop. It's time like that you feel so isolated. I ws told to pinch my nose and spit the blood out as much as possible so instead of pinching it for the recommended 10 minutes I did it for an hour! They were here for about 45 minutes and said to dial 111 again if it restarted and they'd be back because I was on a priority list between them and the 111 service. Very impressed with the service on a friday night. No doubt helped by the pubs and clubs being shut down? I have been ok since but there was blood all over the place. My clothes washed ok on a 20 degrees was - a good advert for M&S trousers and cardigans, and Cotto Traders shirts. Thought they'd all be binned. My hankies did not fare so well so I'll have to do a hot wash or throw them away. I'm on blood thinners for my leg so that was probably the problem.

I was chuffed they saw fit to leave me at home because Poppy would be a problem. The gorgeous Kiwi ambulance girl said there was no problem because she'd look after her for me. I wish I was as popular as the hound.

BBC showed football from 1980's today and so many players I saw on a small TV were very familiar all these years later. And I cannot recall players that I saw a month ago on a relatively huge plasma screen. Shows how much better the commentators were perhaps. A bit unrealistic to think Directors would all start purchasing their own company shares in these turbulent times. The solution is a good bit more complicated than that I fancy.
But hey, good fun having a go at a company that over-preached and over-hyped itself preciously.

Aussie banks have been hammered. My favourite, Commonwealth Bank has dropped from well over $90 to $59 , and Westpac from $26 to $15 .... I'm glad my son mentioned Hargreaves Lansdown when he did ... I'd thought about putting my SXX salvage into either Aussie bank for their dividends but opted for HL which at least follows tge tide both up and down.

X-O transferred my divi to my ISA on the day recently, but have responded to say on a sell I have to transfer after settlement (despite the proceeds being tradeable within my nominee account).
I'm moving it to IG to keep my £3 special commission rate (usually £8). HL is down as expected .... long may it continue (until the the money is reinvested with them on HL and TLOU).

In the second link i sounds like Mr Moagi is set on Botswana becoming a major player in generating power for the whole southern continent - so there is plenty of room for cbm, solar and wind - just as TG has said all along. It supports the theory that the price of electricity will rise if several countries all want a share of it! And that imho is why TLOU are not keen on signing a PPA for the whole future of their electricity. Getting a lower price for 1Mw initially will pale into insignificance eventually BUT will be the most important supply of Mw we ever produce from the credibility and getting financing angle.

I found two connected renewable energy (gas and wind) and listened through them both.
The first, in Morocco,stuck religiously to renewable energy and cbm does not get a mention during talk of distributing power to many more villages around the country.

From minute 6 there is a reference to renewables and energy efficient sources that are clean. It is as close as he gets to us I think.

I found others from Mr Moagi , but they were so early in his new post (dated 15 and 25 weeks ago) that I doubt he knew where the coffee machine is. After MM's revelations recently, I think we'd hear a bit about cbm from him in the right arena.

It is a pity cbm is not considered renewable , it clearly insn't , once it is gone it is gone, because that is seemingly more important than cleaner sources of electricity. I suspect the rubbish going into the atmosphere from making solar panels and wind farms is completely ignored. That is renewable pollution imho , the experts consider it a price worth paying?
Whereas cbm, once established, is not. (Apart from CO2 from burning the cbm).

I sold my nominee shares for £15.50 with no thanks to LSE!

HL has been £11+ thru £16 in the past 3 days .... it is so volatile .. over 9k trades yesterday nearly all A trades! I begrudge stamp duty and the levy so I have not traded them until now. I am terrible at *****ing about a few pence like that whilst risking thousands of pounds. b i t c h i n g will be asterisked I expect! Great use of LSE cpu time !

I was offered TLOU at 1.6p earlier so it will be tricky deciding where to put my money once it is transferred.

I suspect the redundancy packages will be needed to cover people's arrears (back to hot pants) far less be available to trade. When I was made redundant ,about 20 years ago, I only had 4.5 years service after going permanent (joke) from freelancing at the same software house.
I had reached the qualifying age for a 1.5 uplift in years .... so I received the government's minimum statutory payment at the time (£240 per year) for 6 years after the uplift. £1440 was not even a fortnight's pay!

The country is clearly going to be in even big trouble financially, but at least Corbyn isn't there to bankrupt us completely by saving the world before getting round to the UK.

Expanding on what you say, they find 330BN to limit seasonal deaths from other flu' virus rising 20k (from the usual 8k) but could not find it their hearts to produce 1% of that as a guarantee (not actaully cash) for the sake of 85k people , many of whom who'll possibly be suffering more than that 12k and some will be included in that 12k, no doubt.
