Nice post Damo but having looked back across you history I don't see a mention of 2 years grace.
Neither does it ring a bell. Do you mind explaining what it is please.
10 years seems common for loans , I'm hoping it is an industry standard that repayments are only made over the final 8 years.

This paragraph (from https://csbcorrespondent.com/blog/understanding-basics-commercial-loan-documentation) does mention flexible grace periods... though this is independent of TLOU.

I did buy at 9.4c to have set the closing price, I remember being annoyed because somebody paid 9.5c before my 9.4c went through. So I dragged the closing price down instead of raising it :O(

You can see the spread was 2.4p to 2.7p , the average is 2.55p - the critique for buy or sell.

is at such a low price it is 99.9% certain to be a sell.

Most people on here would look at those two trades and compare 2.21 with your 2.439 and decide that yours was clearly a buy despite not meeting the criteria.

On a busy market where the spread is changing by the millisecond it works better but on a quiet share like ours, one potential trade can screw the spread completely. I once predicted that I would set the closing price at 9.4c on ASX and I did without spending or receiving a penny or cent.

Since those days I have appreciated there is not much option.
Some brokers use the spread to safeguard our limit bids.

There is an anomaly between FTSE and ASX trading platforms in that the FTSE shows pence while ASX shows dollars (not cents) on the deal tickets.

I entered a limit of 9.5c (I thought) and my broker obviously thought I was willing to pay $9.50
which every shareholder would have grabbed , given the chance!
But my broker won't allow 10% above the top , or 10% below the bottom , of the spread so declined my trade.

BTW is you cannot trade at the limit price you want because of this , you can get round it!
Enter the top or bottom of the spread , either of which you'd be happy (sorry about the pun) to accept if you want to use a more extreme price?

Then change the price and it is likely to work, maybe subject to further 10% steps possibly.
If it fails on the shown spread look at the price of the last buy or sell trade and base your start point at that (if it is sensible to do).

If they are in advance of TLOU, you'd expect a few, we have 2!

I see,

MMGE (Mr Moagi) has agreed to discuss a temporary PPA that would enable Tlou to provide power on a pilot/proof of concept approach whilst negotiations for the full PPA are ongoing. The PS further stated that BPC had been charged with the responsibility of driving the discussion and signing an agreement subject to the necessary approval and governance structures in BPC.

No doubt we have been discussing a PPA for ages so what has changed? They are looking at our proposal for a temporary one to get things started. Good if they progress it better than the full PPA!

Chukkers, MM posted his view of the minister's intentions on here - ordering a PPA to be drafted despite the advisors not being appointed yet. Extremely radical behaviour anywhere, but especially so for Botswana.

And then, miraculously, MM speaks directly to our CEO who confirms those radical views!

MM's post about a conversation with Tony seems to have put this board into a quandary.
If we belief that post then 2.8p is the bargain of a lifetime.
But admitting you believe that post could make you look stupid should it prove to be total BS.
Would Tony talk so openly to someone from a chatroom? We'll know better once a PPA is announced or is officially denied. Meanwhile we'll stagnate I suppose?

I was never comfortable about the TG telephone conversation but thought TLOU would take action over a "very serious lie" unless it were true.

M1M , solar is dc, cbm will be a/c but , as I know from my mobility scooter, an inverter will convert dc to ac. I plug the mains charger into the cigarette lighter and inverter.

Today I used it for the second day on the trot on the dog walk and had to walk alongside it on the the final uphill because the battery was too low. It is back on the proper mains overnight!

You're probably right, the cbm power will almost surely be 3 phase - maybe creating 3 phase from dc is impossible or very inefficient?

Donk posted an old link giving a cbm related index. It is incredible how many companies are involved in CBM - too many for them to follow up so the study looks to have ended. The links off it don't work.
I thought this was an almost new industry, and Australia is second to the USA with only 3 cbm facilities to support that view. Kalahari and Tlou are listed against Botswana.

On one of my dog walks they put in a solar farm and threw the horses out of the many paddocks!
Don't go there anymore.
I think they might allow sheep in there to graze underneath the frames to keep the grass under control but they look like the easiest meccano set I have ever seen once they are up.
You'd think it is labour intensive , so good news for the local unemployed if the training is minimal.
I guess the control room or whatever they have to regulate the elecricity is more involved but it must still be simple compared to cbm electricity.

But if it was so simple why haven't they got it? Rhinos and elephants perhaps?

Generate the shortfall on #3 and #4 with solar - make #3 and #4 a certainty for commerciality!

How difficult will it be to have a switching mechanism so that by day we send solar power up a line, but by night we connect it to a cbm power source?
Or could we feed both in permanently and simply adjust the cbm generator to boost the available solar 24/7 to the limit?

I have an open mind chuck - as you say, some posters may have met Tony in any of 3 countries and a subset of those may be totally at ease conversing with him. Most of us not, but we could all claim the opposite.

I have too much time to occupy my tiny brain. I have been caught out too many times by believing what I see on chatrooms and in RNS releases. Tlou is almost my last chance saloon so I am wary of being caught out again.

To quote Tony in the way MM did (I wouldn't) and , after someone from another board posted a personal message to me and I responded via his chatroom - including an apology to that board , our 1 and only posts on each other's boards, MM posted this - his attitude looks a bit inconsistent to me at least. None of us (with a few exceptions) know each other so our opinions of each other are fairly baseless. (apart from me perhaps - I am an open book, with several chapters torn out of course.

I haven't been quiet though, I am debating with Donk on Hot Copper where he shows a better side of his bi-polar personality. He is making a issue of the words used by TG , i.e. "poles and wires".

He is taking this to mean telegraph poles whereas I think it was figurative speak for pylons and cables.

We have the odd comment from engineers on here. Do any of you think 66Kv can safely be transmitted across telegraph poles because I certainly don't!
IMO the height of a telegraph pole is totally inadequate to protect giraffes and elephants from a shocking end to their lives.

The other topic is talk of either 33Kv or 66Kv 'wires'.
I have seen 33kv mentioned ever but there is an important element here.
The higher the voltage to longer the isolators to keep the cables away from the structure. Inevitably that increases the he height of the pylon , but it is a double whammy!
1. Extra height to accommodate the longer isolators
2. Even more height needed to reduce the increased risk of jumping jack flash being attracted to giraffes, elephants and basketball players.

Madness - 13 buys all at 5.6c, no sells at 4.7c , but the spread is unaltered after 436k shares move across to the good guys. Quiet day on here.
