A post on ADVFN mentioned the last RNS and, having listened again to GG's joint update with TG on the video, he did not say appointments had benn made - just that they were imminent. Sorry GG!

There is however an ambiguous referce in the RNS, namely, "As CBM gas-to-power projects are new in Botswana, the Government 'has taken' additional time to assess Tlou's proposal including appointing qualified persons to assess the project."

'Has taken' suggests job done!, 'is taking' wouldn't. The context of 'has taken' refers to additional time (the delay) rather than whether the appointments have been made - so have they or not? As long as they are ready for a positive gas flow announcement, they aren't required for a negative one.

Their share price matches ours at 7c on ASX but they have a share issue of a mere 100M v 400M .

I found this in annual report Dec 2019.... in which quarter "the right to drill and test up to 75 additional wells" was granted.
"In total, Strata-X has the authorization to drill and test up to 95 wells".

Assuming production testing and development testing mean the same thing , TLOU are already doing it.

SXA look to be a bargain , worth 4 times the percentage of that company compared to us if they can 'stick' around 100M.
I'd bet on a 'twist'.
I assume we don't have a cap as we are deemed to be in a development period.
Good news for any of the CBM outfits is likely to be good news for all, D'Artignan included.

Moriarty over on ADVFN is still bleating. He accepts a few of us put the PPA down to the gas flows at last.
But his theory is that the delays are as a result of not having the BG advisor in post!

His ability to miss the obvious is legendary - the need for an advisor and negotiator is being driven by gas flows too!
I think he has been appointed now , a pointer that flow rates are coming together at one or more CBM sites.
(GG said he was appointed in a podcast, but I am a little wary of his claims - he seems to be a little bit excitable on some issues).

Moriarty's obsession with me (and me with him because of it) reflects his own fears I think.
He thinks I love Tony's sincerity - so he doubts him.
I believe his 100% success rate in the CBM industry ( 2 from 2) is a massive positive, so he even cast doubt on whether it was 1 or 2 plus his doubts about TLOU.
He thinks I am blinkered and cannot see the obvious ..... need I say more ?

The biggest difference between us is I try to explain why I believe or doubt whatever we are talking about. He gives snippets that he thinks will impress people but in fact are nonsense!
I don't think he has a clue about exothermics but he shrugged it off as if he did, like he does me, it is all bluff.

Notice his paranoia about me having fans - another reciprocation in his tiny brain cos he has none - and the growing group of people who share the same beliefs as I have (and voiced them) are not fans of others in that group. Why? Because we are producing a 50/50 mixture of gas and CO2 from #3 and #4 !!!!
I haven't got a clue whether a 50/50 would burn - they use CO2 to extinguish fires - so it would be a battle royal between the methane and CO2 unless their densities are so different that they separate easily. Burnt methane is CO2 - perhaps we can sell it all to Coca Cola for their bubbles. We have water too!

He said as a futile attempt to ridicule MM 's quote that more water is likely to lead to more gas ....

Nothing to report from ASX 6.6c - 6.9c spread but no action. I thought the hot flushes from MM's post might have jollied up the price a bit.

The banks are flush with money for green power production.
TLOU have water flushing the wells .... if people doubted the alternative financing that was mentioned ages ago it is clear that international banks as well as Botswana's neighbours may be good for support.

The idea of issuing equity for that financing is anathema to anything TG has suggested - the whole approach imho was to take the minimum debt, increase it as required but repay it at an ever increasing rate as we create increasing MWs.

Fury / Wilder fight for existing BT customers is £24.95 up £5 from the first fight. That is not readily available from the searches I made. I eventually saw it cannot be ordered onlineeor by phone - just through Box Ofiice Channel 495 on a BT box.
I paid £19.99 first time round , and feared a first round K.O. - got more than my money's worth that time.

I started investing to beat to the lousy bank rates for savings. A windfall will be welcome if it happens, but TG is possibly going to see this one through to retirement? I thought Chris Fraser might do just that at Sirius mind. But Tony is not remotely like CF.

HS2, ELECTRIC CARS, DIESEL TRAINS, ELECTRIC LIGHTS,ALL MODERN MEDICINES did not or will not replace their forerunners soon, but it does not mean they won't or haven't. Penecillin, tilly lamps, steam engines, diesel and petrol cars still abound and may never disappear entirely - that is all that sentence implies DTE! In the case of Coal , countries that don't have a looney in charge are extremely unlikely to build new coal fired power plants , but many are saddled with them for the indefinite future. Nuclear is much the same, even if there are cleaner options, cos decommissioning isn't that easy.

ASX is closed already (before 6am) these clock changes are a nuisance.
Just read your 8025 post and you have omitted Solar which Mr Moagi lumped in with CBM , and which TG supported.

The mix makes logical sense. Solar is fine during the day when they need power for businesses , air conditioning on hot days and refridgeration.
But at night , no sun, no solar power, country cools down , it is dark , everyone is home and domestic requirements soar for heating, cooking and lighting etc so they need to be able to store power or generate it from non-solar, CBM fits in well.

We'll never agree on this, you persist with the idea an agreement can be made for non existent power figures. I just don't see it!
Without the knowledge that comes from gas flows TLOU cannot tell what production costs will be, far less what price they need to negotiate for survival/thriv(e)(al).

And that is why the share price is low .... nobody knows where this is going until we settle on flows.
As you know, the gas is present and is coming out of the coal. Water is slowing its progress. Remove the water and get more gas. TG has told us that time and again and is criticised for telling us black is black and white is white.

3 trillion cu ft of gas is certified - why oh why would it not take the path of least resistance and flow?
TG has quoted a 100% figure.Cannot remember the precise context, but the BG and Tlou and PIs just have to wait for the water to subside. I cannot see why so many are scared - this has been the same story since the summer - and it makes sense. More water flowing == more gas will flow. That is the norm. the delay will ultimately be good news.

How is TLOU not setting the pattern for future CBM development? And not because of Arrow or Sunshine, but because of TLOU!
If they fail that will change if others come in and do a better job, or, indeed , TLOU may be better second time round if they can raise the finances or #5 can quickly bolster the flows from #3 and #4. A narrow failure might increase the share price and even convince the financiers to risk the cash for phase 2. But we'll have a lot to discuss by that point!

I expect TLOU to be ready for phase 2 before the 93Mw brigade whatever happens. But phase 2 will hopefully be #5 being extended to create a second well and generator.

The Split (TV) has the whole of series 2 on I-player, and it is much better than series 1 as I'd hoped.

My panic attack was induced because of TG's sudden switch to talking about Solar, compoundeing my anti-cbm mood.
It looks to have taken a back seat since, but may have needed us to comment after the minister's speech at the time.

CBM power will be for 24/7 hrs - once there is some money coming in , it may well be better spent on boosting daytime supplies for industry with relatively simple solar panels. It is probably more labour intensive than CBM production, which will help unemployment in Botswana.

I'm feeling happier than for some time - this is a better bet than Cyrname, conqueror of Altior , my favourite horse , at the weekend.
Greed let me down again. Had £30 on it to win £12.90 at level weights. The worry was he'd not be interested as per the King George chase on Boxing day.
He set off quite enthusiastically, the odds tumbled, and I was able to lay him for a certain £5.80 profit if he won, losing nothing if he lost!
For the sake of an extra £7.10 I let the bet run. He was a beaten horse at the last when he fell and did not get up!
It took a while, 15 minutes?, but he was only winded and then looked as right as rain.
So I lost £30 when I could have won £5.80 .... I'm letting a lot more run on TLOU ... if TLOU wins it'll replace Altior!
Beating Altior took its toll on Cyrname for sure - he's been retired for the rest of the season. Altior looked lacklustre in his comeback race , so may have suffered too, but he jumped the last level with others and then sprinted away from them like the brilliant horse he is.

it does not matter you can in fact enter a limit price and enter a sell, but it does not realise you are trying to short.
If there isn't a bucket of shares to short sell , it might be good news perhaps? Or is it a straightforward bug that does not realise I would not be short selling, despite showing I am holding.

A similar message you may see is 'this market is unborrowable', meaning there is no liquidity to lend the asset to you for you to open a short (sell) trade."

Opened 6.7c - 6.9c but 5 trades including one single share again?
Spread is now 6.7c to 7c - I still think ASX will react to gas flow news before London whichever way it goes.
7c is currently 3.6p (6.7c is 3.338p).

Hooked out my latest C share certificate (3rd Jan) and coincidentally it isn't tens of thousands but 6900 shares.
The cash dividend of 69p looks to be worth 10% of £6.90 @ £0.001 each.

I do get both - the cash was a lowly 69p back in June - and the C shares are somewhere in the tens of thousands.
Not terribly interested tbh but I am considering writing a will so I need to get it straight for the benefit of the executor.

It is now a bit clearer - I searched for C shares (like I did moons ago) and now they have a clear explanation.
Inform the registrar they say - so I'll do that when I get a moment.

However I clicked on 'registrar' and instead of Barclays , where I thought my shares were , I got the sharecentre or similar name. That has been my bugbear - I thought I had some shares with each which explained the 69p and C shares.

Hopefully I'll be sorted out soon, thanks again.

My insurers sent me my renewal this morning and said they'd used the same card as last year.
I have closed it and reopened a new one since then.
Just called them (Saga Motors) to give them the new card details and they said payment had been accepted so they cannot update the card details?

The bank has to refuse payment, then they write to me , then they can update it. I'd already checked ASKMID to ensure I am insured, which I am, but he offered that information without me prompting him.

It'll be interesting to see if Santander take payment from my new card because they link it to the old one in an unexpected way. Or perhaps they'll use my current account as security for the defunct one? Seems 100% unlikely.
