Re PPA - ALSF has been appointed as Advisors to Govt to negotiate the PPAs for Tlou/ Sekaname and the Botswana stakeholders (BPC, BERA, Ministries, others). Refer para 16 CBM of the Minister of Minerals Supply Speech in mid-March.

ALSF will need to ship their people in to Botswana in order to get people round a table. Those people will be unable to travel until the world is well past the virus impact. So sit tight and wait - unless of course you are just enjoying bashing the Board all day, every day....

Woody, I recently changed brokers to be able to trade on ASX (TOU) or the AIM (TLOU).
My old broker sold out to IIS whose charges and methods were unacceptable to me.

I opened a share dealing account with IG.
Beware they push derivatives at you but I circumvented them and opened a share dealing account.

They are superb!

On the FTSE you become a frequent trader after 3 trades in a calendar month.
Those 3 are £8 a trade but the frquent trader rate of £3 per trade applies throughout the next calendar month.

Trades on ASX are a flat $10 (about £5.50) so I bought TOU on ASX to get the £5.50 equivalent (subject to the FX rate on those 10 AUD).

On the London exchange they offer two methods of trade.
Limit bids, which sound like your negotitated trade, you tell them the maximum or minimum shareprice for your trade and they will carry it out when/if possible.

And, what you are looking forwar methinks, they'll give you a Quote for your anticipated buy or sell.

The deal ticket will show the spread , aprroximate buy and sell prices.
You click on the side you want having selected the Quote button!

You type in the number of shares and press for a quote - they return the cost of the deal, commission , quoted price and stamp duty if applicable.

On TLOU the deal will complete exactly as shown becauseb TLOU is not very volatile (on busy markets I don't know if it is the same, but HL is as busy as most 9k trades per day often and I got my quoted price each time).

They'll quote you for 1 share if you enter 1 share in the quantity.
I love it! Their minimum trade must be £90+ so there is no risk of accidentally doing a trade when you only wanted a quote if you enter small numbers.

Was going to illustrate the steps but the market is closed :O(

I still believe that Whizzer .... this temporary/interim PPA is simply doing the groundwork for the future and is , hopefully, making our presence in Botswana secure. With the first PPA in place subsequent ones will be a cut and paste job with the new figures and dates.

Getting a PPA before commercial flows is akin to having chemo before you catch cancer imho!

RRE's chart looks like Ayers "rock" to me! Oil looks a good area to invest in with non-electric vehicles due to be phased out. Over production already, bodes well? CBM v Oil long term is going to the next Hunger games film no doubt.

Lordy, if chemotherapy takes a year it takes a year! Would you criticise your oncologist after 6 months?

Dewatering takes up to several years on a new site. In a healthy world taking extra time to dewater would be good (more gas) ... but when money is running short, not so!

Tlou are redirecting their planned electricity for the grid (and a planned PPA) , towards a self sufficient dewatering process. Why can't you see it is inspired? If the gas come soon we have lost very little , it will be redirected back to original plan, and if it takes ages we are still alive and kicking.

Mother in law said why is common sense so rare? She was inspired too!

There is a local Coop if I cannot risk driving to ASDA so I'm okthank you.
Coop charge about £1.50 for 4 pts of milk, and do 2 for £2.20 which seems senseless to me. A couple of times I have suggested to fellow shoppers thsn one of us buys 2 to save us both 40p or a visit to another shop. I gave up after the first two reacted as if my flies were open :O)
Needless to say I will need milk after tomorrows breakfast - I hope the eye will be good enough to drive.

Botswana are showing faith in TG , the guy you and others have not supported. I have also repeated ad nausea that the onlt mistake he has made was to call the period in wwhich we'd get commercial rates. But even then if he did not say it directly , it was always subject to the iffy time for initial dewatering.

Instead of badgering me, an apology to the TLOU directors might be better use of your time. Have you stick got those sub 1p funds iunder the bed for your predicted share price? I think they'll be illegal coins by the time you can buy at sub 1p.

Whiz this is interim PPA which was prepared to accept whatever gas flows we are currently flaring after they are diverted to electricuty generation.

As you will see in the RNS the original 10mw is additional and remains to be discussed. This panning out exactly at Minister Moagi said in his lteer to TLOU. The one you and Donk did not believe.

I admit I thought the interim PPA was scuppered by the virus, but the minister has honoured his word. You really should not take your mentor's word on anything - most of us don't if has been filtered already.

I hope BTS is feeling more confident after the news today.

Cannot say how thrilled I am that they have pulled a rabbit of the hat in the current climate. Getting a PPA within a year of starting production wells is pretty good imho. And TLOU are looking confident their expansion is not going to be as problematic as the first one. The science backs that view, TG's previous experience too.

You are right Damo , three options not 2, but all geared towards survival of the companyinuntil a PPA was possible. I ruled out shutting them off - the least synmaic option - but now it is a whole new ball game.

Mr Moagi looks to be as honest as Tony - nowadays I'll settle for that.

Absolutely brilliant news - do we think Tony will continue to divert the gas to the dewatering?
It makes sense either way - directing it towards the grid is likely to be thwarted by the time for the poles and wires to be funded and implemented.

I think I favour powering the dewatering whilst the rest is going on in parallel.

I watched TV without glasses and my sight was quite good! Took Poppy out and came home to the good news here.
Needed glasses to read the small print and it was hopeless! Just my left eye!

This makes me smile - I have bifocals and I realised that with them perched on my nose the swelling was hiding the reading lens! So lifting the reading lens above the swelling allows me to see normally :O)

Last night I was shutting the small aperture so my left eye took over. Similiar result.

I'm ok this morning - my eye is black and blue and almost shut.
I think I must have landed on the bottle and jarred my my neck - it was glass on glass which made me think my specs had smashed.

I emsailed my sons so if I don't post in the morning there is no need to take action.

It seems obvious that Donk and Whizzer are convinced a PPA can be issued even if there is no gas flows .
It appears to be based on the 2012 experience with KE/Tuma Energy, known as KES, who let that process down!
Without that charade I reckon we might have had a PPA on the go long ago , ready to sign asap!

A patient in the hospital (just over a year ago) told me that Botswana's wealth from diamonds is so great that nobody in Botswana needs to work (except diamond miners? I neve asked).
He worked all over Africa and rated the Botswana Government extremely highly.

Needless to say, I told him about my interest in TLOU and he knocked me back by doubting the need for CBM power!
He said that Africa was heavily into hydro-electricity which was borne out by a link on here the other day!
I cannot recall the context but hydro was singled out to be excluded from the argument. But it gave the impression hydro was applicable way north of Serowe.

The patient was very old so I hoped hewas going back a few decades and was out of touch in his retirement in the UK.

From that link yesterday, Botswana issued a PPA way back (before 2012) for CBM at Orapa (180Mw).
It has only ever used diesel since then.

Why would Eric's ministry doubt the claims there is abundant CBM in Botswana?
Why did Eric demand proof before he'd commit to an immediate ramping of CBM as the major source of power?

Orapa CBM is the obvious answer!

Having issued a PPA 8 years ago with sfa returns from it , does it seem likely they'll issue another one without proof?
Proof is nowhere near 8 years away - virus permitting, it could be this year - and was expected before now.

The temporary/intermediate PPA ,that has been side-lined due to the virus, that Mr Moagi ordered BPC to start on was a wonderful vote of confidence in CBM.
Flares show gas is flowing, the high volume water suggest there is a lot more gas to come , it all makes sense?

IG quote has been 1.511p for several days and ASX 3.9c ( 1.921p) looks very settled too.
