Boy oh boy, Lovely, yes I am too young to watch LOTSW. I must be, because it is not a programme I watched and neither did I watch Where the heart is.
I was aware of them but Liz never watched them so neither did I. She was big fan of Heartbeat - the music was good and I thought Gina was easy on the eye so I watched that one!
I took the taxi job after I lost my job in London (the company effectively shut down).
I had a flat in London and the family home in Dorset , both mortgaged, and no income! So the flat, my intended pension scheme, had to be sold!
I was building a web site so was happy enough until the money was getting short.
The flat sale paid off the Dorset mortgage too which means my awful pensions just about cover my expenses.
I was refused benefits because I owned two properties. I signed on to keep my pension contributions up to date!
My private pension contribution went into the London mortgage !
After a few months of signing on they said I qualified for a back to work bonus!
If I earned less than 15k pa they would give me £60 per week tax free for a year!
Self employed taxi driving made £15k a formality and after years of paying corporation tax and higher rate tax I felt obliged to take those £60's!!!!
I intended to pack it in after a year but I enjoyed it more than I expected!
I met Edward Woodward, Michelle Dotrice , Corinne Redgrave , Eddie Howe , Adam Lallana, David Horowich (author Anthony's actor brother) and others! The other cab picked up Alison Steadman , one of my all time favourites since Nuts in May, when I picked up David! I knew him from his days as a police inspector in Miss Marple - a very modest , pleasant , man so it was fine.
Short week this week - I thought today was spring bank holiday so was surprised to see trading!
WBI looks a better investment than TLOU to me if , as seems likely , we will multibag on price rises wuth our certificates! Cannot wait for our first RNS saying we have signed up a conglomerate!
If the price rises for credits/certificates we won't multibag as many times in a few years!
But deep joy! We will get a better price for our certificates when we need the cash!
Woodbois looks to be a win - win to me.
