RE: AGM 06/08/22 | 11:00am8 Jun 2022 13:27
Well! Well! Well!
I have some humble pie to eat - about 10 tonnes of it!
Apart from recording the whole thing and finding I have over an hour of conference, sound and my response post conference ..... I have 3 minutes of waiting room followed by an hour of blank!
No sound and no vision!
Like an idiot I plugged my laptop into the TV for a bigger picture and better sound!
That must have messed up recording!
I have just posted this in a private email , it speaks for itself!
"It seems I have taken the words "future carbon credits" too literally! So making money in advance on credits on existing land is not certain at all :O(
What Paul did say was that in the USA landowners are claiming credits where existing forests are maturing and sequestering extra carbon!I hoped he was going to continue and say we were going to do the same in Gabon!
ALAS! In Gabon, if they are awarded those credits will pass to the Gabon Govt!
So the new land is imperative and won't start making real money for 4+ years!
The news on timber seemed optimistic, which it needs to be!"
I ws about to add the video showing Paul's words on that!
In my appraisal of the meeting I mentioned my opinion on "forwards" as "derivatives".
If I get a response to that I will make them public if it is suitable.
Paul mentioned he worked in derivatives prior to moving to Woodbois , so He an Michael Floyd are probably working closely together. BC100 was not far out!
It looks like we have , not a 7+ year wait, but a 4+ year wait to see a return on carbon credits from the AGM.
But how wong am I? I might be proved right on "forward trading" but I doubt it!
I did not ask any questions Lovely - this was a novel experience for me and I did not know to expect! At least I learned I cannot record on my laptop whilst using the TV as a monitor!
I await their recording! I wonder how long it will take to publish?
