RE: H'mm3 Jun 2022 10:02
My youngest son was a pro, qualified up to the eyeballs as a financial advisor.
He received training worth £80k from US company Edward Jones but had to complete it (and pass) in 8 months , ridiculously short , and had to go door knocking for thr first year to build a clientele . After a year, they'd provide him with his own offices , PA , etc and they'd have a new office!
He was given a free rein to recommend any stocks he felt warranted investment.
Before the year was up , there was a meeting of all the new recruits and the directors!
He heard that the US model of door knocking was not working in the UK!
He applied to Abbey asap and got a job!
Soon after Edward Jones sold their books to another company who wanted to employ them all!
They were all released of course but my son had already jumped ship!
He never got his office etc but in his brief year he made one of his new clients £600k with his recommendations! They reviewed the guys position and he recommended that the guy sell the lot because the FTSE was going to crash from an all time high! The bloke was unhappy that my son woul not recommend anywhere to put his money (under the bed may have been mentioned) , but complied! Within a short time his profits would have evaporated!
At Abbey he was hamstrung after his Edward Jones experience.
Abbey had a handful of plans and he could only sell them! No freedom!
Why do I mention this?
Because he moved away from the stock exchange a while ago , and moved into crypto dealing!
He saw that as the future, and I wonder if that is the professional view.
I always saw crypto trading as a different form of pyramid selling and feared a collapse which may have happened last month. I have been frightened to ask him how it has affected him and we have not spoken since it happened.
Elon Musk and Tesla will have caught a cold for sure - but will it rebound or is going to be just a few crypto currencies from now on! I was tempted by stablecoin which sounded safe , but resisted! So I am watching my money disappear on the stock exchange instead.
WBI and Tlou are my main hope once I have enough WBI to regain previous losses.
Velo , I'll take a look at you man! I gound Ronald and Austen Brown who are brothers in arms with their own finance company in the states! I found nothing to connect that Ronald with Woodbois . If his dubious claims of 3 consecutive successes are honest, and there are not myriads of disasters twixt the successes, it will be encouraging.
But his work is done! WBI is on my map!
