Pokerchips, my conclusions are underpinned by the arguments laid out, the language being appropriate to the situation, imo.

People stating things like "shame on you", is pure emotive rhetoric with no underpinning to the investment case itself.

Regarding said investment, we are all stating opinions based on how we see the investment (and hopefully with some logical process to arrive there) albeit none of us are absolutely certain of outcomes - that's obviously a given insofar as these are all OPINIONS!

Mine are as stated and I'm certainly not new to this stock, having held it for a number of years. If people are undecided, perhaps they should 'stagger buy' although again, everyone wil (or should) make their own investment decisions.

I'm comfortable choosing other stocks such as YU. (YU Group) at this particular time.

The problem is that now you have an official censure by way of a guilty verdict being given, along with the loss of the associated contract.

In am environment where bribery is the norm, the censure of Petrofac severely limits its ability to operate effectively in such am environment, hence crippling it going forward to secure significant Contracts in the region.

That's where the repercussikns of said developments will be felt. The current price decline pause , I suspect, a move to secure dividends before larger scale selling of the stock. The price move dividend will likely be more substantial than the expected gap down at open imho and continue thereafter on a downward trend.

Let's see how it plays out.

Getting nearer NAV and will be associated costs, hence took my profits and looking at YU.

Will be interesting to see which or if suitors come forward and any price agreed upon.

I hold stock here but just put it away in the draw, so to speak - why the rise now?

I'm moving my funds into other companies for the moment alto, most notably YU. (Yu Group), for reasons I state there. However, wish you all the best here, as smaller investors have a hard enough time sharing the space with the larger Institutuonal sharks.

As has been stated, no need to re-iterate the concerns already expressed.

Agreed AdamH90 and over time even getting partially towards the previous circa £12 share price, should see us all with an extremely envious ROI - I think the Institutional investors will be looking for such signs of the recovery with obvious implications on the limited free float.

Alto, current events have basically 'crippled' Petrofac going forward.

We all know the way business is conducted in the region and that wont suddenly change - the critical factor here, is that Petrofac will be limited in how it can conduct such business in the forseeable future, given the greater scrutiny that comes with such developments - others will secure those contracts that Petrofac would have negotiated for, albeit no doubt with greater 'care' around the process.

That's not even looking at the possibility of them being Blacklisted and something any broker analysis and Institutional decisions, will take into consideration.

The Dividend is basically not of a major concern at this moment tbh, as the potential for an ongoing price decline far overshadows that, imo.

I think next week will see a much greater price slippage, well beyond what we'd expect post divi.

Again, imho.

No probs having different opinions alto and been in the markets too long to worry about attaching too much emotion to my decisions.

Would be interesting to hear your views on the very real concerns stated though -

ie - Almost certainly will get media coverage this weekend on bribery situation & discussion on sales integrity going forward for Iraqi contracts.

- Current contract cancellation

- Blacklisting in Iraq, where they have their extensive operations and which is a very real possibility now

- Broker downgrades, which are almost certain to follow

- Institutional divestment due to the above.

These are very real concerns as we can all agree.

Partly it's because I have held this stock for some time and have only just exited (sell validated) based on breaking events and the very real probability / possibility of greater repercusions to come.

By doing so, I've an interest in hearing counter viewpoints, accepting the possibility of others having other info or views that may be of relevance.

Fortunately, I have a ready investment for those funds in Yu. (Yu Group), but having been in PFC for a few years now and in the markets much longer, I think the uncertanties stated, do have a strong degree of validity.

Although I expect there to be broker downgrades being released now, the greater fear is of Petrofac bein blacklisted in Iraq, where it has extensive operations currently.

Would be good to hear your views on those specific concerns, as I think we may very well see Institutional offloading in the coming weeks amidst said uncertainties.

Be interesting to see if we get any broker downgrades off the Iraqi debacle - probably find out after the weekend.

My SELL for 3000 shares is showing up as a Buy at 09:35 - relieved to be out at this juncture, as we await any further possible developments on Blacklisting or other revelations regarding the current situation.

Weekend media discussion on the issue should be interesting.

Just sold my total holding of 3000 shares - the Iraqi oil ministry hasn't yaken action on existing projects apart from the one in question -YET!

If Petrofac are blacklisted....or further allegations are brought forward, the impact on the Company going forward will be significant and beyond the damage from the current project.

Blacklisting is the real danger now and will see the shareprice crash, if implemented - too much uncertainty for me atm, with the possibility of further bribery / corruption revelations.

I hold a bit of TUI too and at a nice little profit there - part of my transferring the more speculative holdings into Dividend paying stocks.

However, with YU. I see the best of both, with the massive potential gains on what I anticipate will be significant rises to come.

I initially bought a good holding at its near bottom in the 40's p....and have subsequently bought more in the past few weeks, as funds have become available and a buoyancy in the price has started re-asserting itself.

I don't actually look to necessarily buy at the lowest price but more with regards to the Upside v downside scenarios and the general sentiment going forward and beyond the very short term 'trading mentality' - that approach has been very succesful indeed for me over the years.

I concur with the general sentiment here and see YU. now poised for some of those very significant gains as part of the Uptrend in place, with bigger price multipliers progressing down my investment timeline.

Let's see how this goes over the coming few weeks and then beyond that for the longer timeframe. It seems that there is a bullish concensus, even amongst the bears, off a strong recovery in a slightly extended timeframe.

Markets tend to over react, which seems to have been the case with the initial price drop that was over done. We then stabilised just above the 100p levels. I think even a bit of positivity in the upcoming Trading Update & Management comments, will see that Strong Upwards push many of us reasonably expect - again, exacerbated by the very restrictive amount of free stock available.

We may even get some re-imergence of Institutional interest, albeit any more significant buying from that front, will likely be off the back of the FCA resolution.

However, as long as the business is operating 'more strongly' from an opetational standpoint, I believe we'll see that push into a new and higher trading range as part of the longer term recovery of the share price.

Will try to pick up some more today to steadily build up my overall holding and given the potential upside appreciation, for a company that has a strong trading operation underpinning it.

Maybe a somewhat longer way to reach the previous over £10 plus price levels, but not so for a multiple of current levels, imho.

If it wasn't for the scant 16M shares in issue, I'd perhaps extend the share acquisitions over a longer time period, but expect we will see a Significant price push alongside the current Uptrend.
