RE: re bonum1 May 2019 19:39
Fair enough alto and I will try to clarify my position. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I held 5000 PFC shares, as part of the Dividend part of my portfolio. However, I divested of 4000 of those shares, for the reasons previously stated.
I retained the 1000 share holding as I may be wrong in this particular case, albeit so far have been proved right as far as the shorter term price movement is concerned.
The significantly trade I referenced, seemed to be large enough to 'indicate' at least, some form of Institutional divestment - we need confirmation of such of course but can only go by said indications. The price action downwards is of course, significantly greater than one would expect of a post Divi period.
On the flipside, Petrofac have a robust contract base to work off and maintain their dividend policy, hence retaining the attractiveness to Institutions & Private investors.
Can this go towards the 400p level - of course and there's precedents for such levels to be hit.
Are we seeing a stabilisation of the price around these levels? Possibly (even probably), given the slowdown of the price drop and as long as no continued large scale institutional divestment occurs.
We'll better establish the situation after Friday, but will implement a 'staggered buying' strategy as long as the price remains somewhat stable around these levels but also looking at a somewhat longer timeframe for recovery than some others have indicated.
