Firstly, as is fairly apparent, I strongly believe a Placing is imminent for the reasons I've mentioned before - that gives us an impact on the short term.price move and likely towards the Placing level due to a likely offloading of stock for immediate profits.....unless as I stated previously, 'lock in' conditions are applied.

We've seen that played out countless times, hence the more likely outcome on a Placing, discounted at the prevailing share price.

Beyond that short term timeframe, contingent on other factors aligning as the company would want (again some uncertainties due to beautacratic / regional concerns), the price would reasonably be expected to appreciate as operational progress towards & through drilling is made.

Caveat: if a Financing deal is made that involves any type of staged payments for equity, we could effectively have a 'death spiral' scenario, limiting any expected or appreciable price rise through the aforementioned stages.

The eventual outcome of the drilling campaign will be a binary play ie they strike oil.or not and contingent on all other factors leading thhrough a successful drill campain, hitting TD and the results of the subsequent logging.

Conclusions can be made thereafter.

Note: my issues at this moment are more focused on the very short term outcomes and real concerns regarding Financing - I have made no reference to longer term outcomes, as those are best addressed once the more immediate hurdles are overcome.

It's the Friday before bank holiday, but with todays News, momentum will likely pick up strongly post the Bank holiday period and moving forward.

I don't mind 'throwing Toby under the bus', just for fun!! However, it would be sonewhat akin to Streaking on the Twickenham pitch during an International - transiently stimulating (perhaps) but forever questionable.

Perhaps a small hatchback would be more appropriate, lol ;)

I'm not for sidelining Toby, as I think on a balance he's performed well in taking us through some choppy waters with previous onerous contracts and steering us onto the path of profitability going forward. We have a more 'balanced machine' if you like, which is making headway along the operational growth set out by the Management - share price aside.

However, let's see that Dividend as suggested by the Company and as an aside, accepting we don't have specific figures to work on, it would be interesting to speculate on the size of Dividend we may expect.....?

The Dividend may look 'sick'....but I want a little more 'health' in my bank acct! ;)

Liquid.....or the 99% of other stocks, that see the price go down to or below the Placing price, lol. - if they have 'lock in' terms maybe, otherwiss I'd expect the stock to be sold into any price above the Placing price exacerbated by smaller investor sells!

The talk from Canada suggests the Olacing will be at 0.10p but it could very well be at circa 0.08p, for the reasons already given.

It'll be bedlam here when the RNS does hit, but let's see what the actual details & price are.

They gave their timeframes and we're currently within those.

We all are well aware of how this stock can (and will) move, so comfortable enough waiting for the News release off the current Talks going on, especially given all the associated political / environmental factors that hae now fallen nicely into place.

The price looks very stable at these levels and no doubt, any dip will see an influx of heavy Buying.

I'm comfortable Holding my stock and awaiting the RNS release on confirmation of the Farm out deal - then it'll be absolute MADNESS here...!!

Associated indications, barring the actual Update itself, look positive for a bullish release and outlook going forward.

Good to be holding stock given the limitation of availability.

The same 'old news' link re: the Letter of Intent for the Rig. A LOI isn't the same as a firm contract and as the CEO clearly stated, it's imperative that they get the Funding in place to move into confirmation of a firm contract AND to cover their share in transportation of transportation costs of said Rig to Africa..... amongst all the other costs that need addressing.

The price was being walked down preceeding and after that interview (as part of a wider PR campaign), so not sure why posting the link for the LOI is meant to shed new light or achieve anything - bar maybe help fan an early morning 'Ramp'.

If the rumours from Canada are correct, which the price action around the CEOs publuc relations initiative suggests, we can expect that heavily discounted Placing RNS at any time now.

In the meantime, keep discussing the LOI for the rig, if it provides short term sustenance.

Yes, I just started posting a bit here & there Sunday.....as you probably noticed elsewhere, lol.

I, like many here, have a very substantial holding and it is somewhat frustrating that the traction being made by the Company isn't reflected in the Share price.

I always looked at these as being part of my Dividend paying portfolio, so on a certain level the actual share price isn't the absolute priority. However, after such an exended timeframe, it's certainly not unreasonable to look to that regular income stream.being established for Shareholders.

Indeed, it would probably significantly bolster the share price, as newer investors enter longer term positions off the income generation aspect.

I know it's an oft used cliche in the markets - but if I had funds available, these would seem a bargain contingent on that Dividend payment being established.

As it is, I don't have those funds but do have that very significant holding here - now we need the ROI as suggested.

I'm quietly hopeful on that front......Toby!

Well, a 'short squeeze' would certainly affect the price in a positive way. I'm unaware of the situ on short positions here atm.

Go back to the the CEOs specific comments regarding the 'details' surrounding the financing needs and perhaps you'll get a clearer idea of what the a tual requurements are, shortfalls and inevitability of a Placing to action things further.

At the end of the LSE interview, the CEO specifically cautions about expectations without having the Funding in place to leverage negotiating power and the requirements fir other expenditure ex Costs for rig transportation to Africa to enable the LOI to become a firm Contract.

You'll 'get it' when we the Placement news is actually released!

I can appreciate that the Company has made significant progress over the years and currently has what I believe is an excellent Management team to steer the course ahead.

However, at some point we need to realize some ROI, given the timeframe & scale of investment, many of us have undertaken.

My holding level is substantial & unaltered, so let's have some 'real' talk on Dividends Toby....!

People seem to want to be confrontational here, almost as a shield to hide behind rather than any pertinent discussion of the Issues surrounding the stock.

Yes, I have other investments and have been very Succesful indeed in the Market, largely due to being able to filter out the 'noise' and address the relevant factors underpinning any investment.

I recall being harassed in a similar way on the Plethora (PLE) board at circa 20p.......subsequently dropping to circa 2p, before being delisted!

The logic applied there was equally as valid with the 'ringleaders' on that BB also rounding up the masses to discredit and sensible evaluation of key points associated with the investment.

Where are many of the COPL Rampers this morning.....no doubt offliading some stock in anticipation of the Placing RNS....they aren't all Naive about what to really expect here.

Let's see what the Fallout is like when said RNS hits.

It looks like at least a lot of the Rampers are now accepting that the Placing is on the cards - some small progress, albeit no concelation for those sitting on a 'spike'!

The area of discussion now is more on the price level for said Placement - 0.10p as the talk from Canada suggests or the 0.08p price?

We shall know soon enough!

I bought YU. at around circa 45p and have further increased my Holding on the recovery. Currently sitting at a very Healthy profit and looking for said recovery to continue, one day to its previous 1200p levels - thank you for asking!
