Happy, you can disagree with the plan Rahul laid out 3 years ago( which you always have), but he has met/beat all his milestones laid out in that plan, so you can't criticise him for doing what he said he would. Can you?

DB is an enigma. He was on here last week 'innocently 'asking what a short was and how it worked, when he clearly knows exactly what shorting is. The fact he's very knowledgeable about how the market works, means his comments are worth reading. His motives, sincerity and wish to be helpful to other investors are however, very unclear...caveat lector

Leeds, agree with all your points. Oil is down 40% since mid 2022. There are no short term existential threats and most commentators see oil price higher from 2Q. Sleep easy.

Unless the POO halts its relentless downtrend, down 40% since mid 2022, then I don't think anything they say on results day will bring respite here. Number of other mid cap oilies are also at 12 month lows. It's a patient hold for me

Shorters are taking delight in pointing out new 12 month lows for Tullow. They omit that oil is also near 12 month lows, that oil price has fallen 35% since its peak in mid 2022. Tullow has fallen 30% over same period. As have Enquest, Harbour Energy. No, it's not been a good 6 months for Tullow SP but it isn't Tullow specific.

So there's no doubt about the duplicity of these people. The author of this insight to 'Successful Trading' , was on this chat room yesterday asking could someone explain what a short is and how it works!

For those in any doubt about our shorter friends. All kindly explained by the Organ Grinder themselves in a recent one of their posts. Note point about low volume and overlap narrative onto Tullow. Hold those shares.

Or Trading is all about researching the company right ? wrong. In the absence of rising profits & or general market, the price movements have to be engineered. Easiest way to achieve this is to Short the stock down, frighten the pants off PI’s to induce them to sell at the lower price level, then profit take. Works every time.

Q so why not take it up ? because in a low volume environment We would be competing with Pi’s to profit take & We don’t want to risk loosing money.

Agree Anton, which is why I was intrigued why an experienced trader/broker/poster like DestituteBroker would turn up asking a question about shorts that they clearly know the answer to. Perhaps he is the Organ Grinder, unhappy that his monkeys(Colti, Patel, Slater and Doctor) are not gaining any traction? Who knows, but they are best kept on filter for sure.

Correct Andoman, the question is not whether there will be a supply agreement ( we already supply them with gas) the question is at what price. I too think the tax demands are all part of the negotiations

Up pops Destitute broker asking 'innocent'question about what shorts are, when from their posts anyone can see they have expert knowledge on not only shorts, but market workings and has L2 access. Fine sentiment Pang, but the issue is exactly as you point out in your question, there's a dirth of new news. The operational updates have clearly laid out the good production performance, and the financials are clear for a POO range of 80-100$. Even the capital markets day, which could generate some good discussion points, is on hold awaiting clarity on Kenya and a possible 3rd party partner.
