I bought at a lowly price too and sold in batches as we rose into the 40s and 50s. Just look at the profit you lost out on, as the saying goes 'fools and their money' I am starting to think that you put effort in to being stupid.

Most brokerages loan stock out, and why wouldn't they. There is no risk to institutional holders, they get income stream and the shorter takes the risk. Your point,which you've made dozens of times since you joined in Q1 THIS year, is irrelevant who loans out the stock if IIs are not selling. The lack of holding RNSs in last 2 years showing they are not selling is the key point. They're in for the recovery play...tick tock

Sorry Y11, you're wrong.You are looking at stock held at >0.5%. Total Tullow stock on loan at end of Apr 2023 was 8%, which is where it has been +/- 1% since May 2022 when it jumped from 3 to 9%, at which point the decline from 60p started. There is still very much a chance of a short squeeze but it hasn't started yet. Euroclear gives full loan picture

There's no evidence there is a short squeeze in play. That said, from the year low on 17th May today's current SP represents an 18% rise in a week, which supports belief this could quite easily double(again) very quickly,for whatever reason. Onwards and hopefully, upwards

The only attraction of Capricorn for Tullow was their cash pile, the majority of which($450M) they've just handed back to shareholders by way of a special dividend. Can't see any mileage in revisiting the merger

Initial market reaction to the RNS suggests they too put zero value on the Kenyan asset. Shoukd be an obvious focus for questions tomorrow at the AGM
