I think the trajectory is now set, though.

Q3 and Q4results will still be losses but these are already “baked in”. Everything else, including paying down debt has also been accounted for and, if the next results are better than expected, I would expect nearer £17 by EoY without the usual results day “tank”.

2024 promises a return to profit and I would be looking for £25 then, despite the large number of shares now in issue.

FWITW, my view is expressed below. I would be very surprised not to see a plateau and then a further rise coming up to Q3 and after.

Mathsprof crunched some numbers and is less optimistic, if only because there are hugely more shares in issue now than when the price previously hit £50. However, assets are also growing and revenue along with that.

When you say bright red, what does that indicate, Bot? Apart from the obvious……. I fully expect CCL to plateau for a while but hopefully then continue its upward journey when Q3 results are published at the end of September.

Oh dear! Sorry to hear about Norovirus. It is very stubborn to cleaning- it was on Arcadia last month although we didn’t get it. Frequent hand washing plus sanitising is the best, pretty much only defence.

We are on Iona at the end of the month for a week to Norway - maybe that should be Noroway….😜

They are the trades from earlier in he day but only settled after hours. The way SECTS works means that for every sale there is “buy” and vice versa, so the reds and blues don’t mean much other than the volume.

The SP movement probably tells you more about what her shares are being sold or bought.

Thanks Bot. It would appear that profits are not the issue because they are expecting to pay another record Divi, I heard, Anyway, another long-term hold for me.

Other banks don’t seem to be held back quite so much so you could be right. Maybe customers moving elsewhere, too?

Which cruise are you on HL?

The first one we did was 10 days to the Canaries and back on the basis that if we discovered we hated it after 3 or 4 days we only had a week til we got off. Well, here we are, still at it, preferring Arcadia and Aurora but booked on Iona for my birthday.

I think I am beginning to believe Carnival’s publicity, or is it propaganda? The latter is probably illegal in relation to reporting to the SEC etc. Anyway, I keep watching the SP every five minutes - which is daft since I ain’t selling anytime soon. Maybe if gets up to £30 which will be 400% of my average.

PS you don’t have any insights into why NatWest is sitting in the doldrums, by any chance?

Angus1, as I understand it, and Bot will correct me, I am sure, in the US you can trade out of hours whereas here in the UK you cannot. It would appear that there are after hours trades here but I think these are trades made earlier in the day but settled, i.e. paid for, after hours. Because the SE is closed they don’t affect the closing price.

I agree with Bot’s assessment. I had seen that upgrading by Jeffries - just shows how much influence sentiment from a major analyst can have. Were they at the meeting with CCL the day after the webcast?

The thing that shocked everyone was the size of the “tank” on the release of the results and during the webcast.

PS there is more to life than making money. “You can’t take it with you”. But remember Bob Hope’s story about his mate Bing Crosby (famed for being careful/tight-fisted) - BH was at his house and saw him building a steel-lined coffin. “I think Crosby might have found a way……..”

We are very set in our ways and a big reason for sailing from Soton is the other half’s ear problem when flying so we have stuck wit P & O up to now. Nearly did a Saga cruise from Dover but went with Iona. Norway is lovely, as are the people.
