RE: 3 reasons for the drop13 Dec 2023 22:58
Rorkesdrift I'm confused.
The purpose of this trial was to ascertain safety and tolerability. So that is what today's presentation should have focussed on.
In my opinion that is exactly what it did.
My only criticism is that it could have honed in more on the key takeouts. So here is my view of what they are.
1. It works in the real world exactly as predicted from lab results. Dox is only cleaved in the tumour environment
2. In fact it works so well that they haven't been able to ascertain a maximum tolerated dose yet.
3. It works so well that they are able to continue treatment far beyond normal dox giving patients healthier and longer lives.
4. It works so well that it may even cure cancer in some patients where other options have failed.
5. It works so well that it will now be used as a first line treatment for some patients.
What else would you like a presentation focussed on a P1 trial to tell you
The issue is some people on here, which I warned against yesterday, tried to turn today into something it never was meant to be.
Because their dumb expectations haven't been met that is somehow the company's fault.
Now I believe Avacta require a good marketing/commercial director, I'm exceptionally frustrated by the sp action today, but that doesn't take away from my admiration for the results that were communicated today
