if big Mike genuinely thinks he can turn Boo around to say a market cap of £2bn, what would it be worth to him to get majority ownership. Lets say £500m. We know he has paid around £100m for his current stake OF 27%. To buy another 23% he could arguably be prepared to pay up to £1 per share at a total cost of less than £300m. In total he would have paid an average of well below 50p and at a significant discount to what we believes the future potential to be.

It's the same logic BOO used for buying PLT.

Actually if they make an offer, they will most likely look at the weighted average price of the transaction.

So paying £1 per share for 10% of the business would be easily feasible if you have paid 30 odd pence for 29%

They can investigate any business being acquired with a turnover greater than £70m.

They can stop a takeover if they deem it will result in a substantial reduction in competition.

Boo have historically claimed to have over 8% market share in UK fast fashion.
