Yesterday we have an RNS on an increased holding from a hostile bidder and today we have an RNS of options exercised by the incumbent

Late arrival in AFN today (lunch) but still a very good gain. The AFN story of course reflects here too with OBC’s holding so not bad news at all and the driver for this rise today.
Tomorrow should be an interesting day, certainly the opening half hour.

AFN finished nearly 70p and now it's top of the climbers list today I expect some more general interest first thing tomorrow.
There's some very enlightening posts to read over there. It's not a cross ramp as OBC has a sizeable direct interest in the outcome of course, so all good for us here too.

As a longer term OBC holder I came into the story behind this potential takeover late (as in took the plunge today with AFN and probably bought some of yours!)
I agree that a sensible price has to accommodate an upside for both sides, and my judgement of OBC's business model matches your view on Clem.... There may be a potential to trade the rumour here, but timing spikes etc can be a fool's errand. Either way I expect some volatility at the very least tomorrow as the rise today hits people's evening digest.

Agreed, profit taking to be expected before close Legendgerry. It all improves the holders average before tomorrow.
It's an exciting time on a small cap share the morning after news like this - how many people will see this atop the leaders board tonight, do their homework and then try to time an entry tomorrow.

I'm not one for the MM conspiracies. The price is bucking about now that the US market is open.
It'll be most interesting when the early trades are done, but there's some profit taking going on early doors- and given the general economic sentiment stateside we shouldn't be surprised.
The good news is that we have a newer shareholding with a higher average on the back of the activity

it's the relative benefit that matters - I believe the OBC element of ADVFN is 18% (?)
If ADVFN now has a m/c of £13M then OBC have an interest of £2.35M, which was more like £1.6M yesterday, so £750k more
That increase of value on the total OBC m/c of £9M is about 7% which reflects what we see at time of posting.
Given the drop yesterday you may be right and this has a bit more to go yet. Will watch with interest.
