Intriguing insight Thoth. Presumably a potential buyer would also want to know a clear picture on the future of SRA737 given the potential value of milestones and royalties. The three month delay announced on SD 1801 should enable that to be achieved?
Sierra- Jeffries Healthcare Conference 1-4 June25 May 2021 15:52
Interesting that the company announcement is quite different from earlier conference notifications that focused solely on Momelotinib. This time, Dilley is to present a general overview of the Company and its assets. Stand by - think Plans for SRA737 may start to be aired.
So the scientific evidence supporting the use of TYK2 inhibitors in treating Cytokines storms in Covid 19 patients continues to pile up. No wonder the Sareum Board members are finding it hard to control their excitement. And they have seen evidence in the laboratory that it works. No wonder they have pushed back SD-1801 for Autoimmune a couple of months, as Covid has provided is a one in a lifetime opportunity. Can’t understand why the share price has not risen above yesterday’s close. The further scientific TYK2 validation published yesterday is enough to justify that.
Spursboy - noticed that Oppenheimer Investment Banking is holding a virtual meeting with Sierra’s management team today. Would be nice to be a fly on the wall.
Thoth What do you think about Gilead’s interest in Sierra oncology - taking a 7% stake in in the company in return fo momelotinib. Are they in it just for the revenues or a more active part?
I feel confident that any offer not reflecting the potential of the assets would soon be followed by higher offers from other Pharmas. Sareum’s assets are multifunction across a large percentage of autoimmune and Cancer indications and demonstrate low toxicity. There is no cheap option for getting round that fact. The Covid 19 trials will also put pressure on Pharmas to take the risk and offer a price that might be difficult for the Board and shareholders resist. But in my view it will not be anything below 30p as a starter.
The independent enquiry ruled that there was no evidence or misdemeanour in the ballot process. Why can’t you accept that? I am getting tired of this so suggest you filter my posts as I will with you. Goodbye
I welcome debate but not filled with prejudices and no evidence. I welcome your contributions which are well thought through. But then you say you believe in things that are not supported by evidence. Will you be saying next that man never landed on the moon?
OK. Personally I have no time for Johnson but I have not ****ged him off. There will be a range of political views on this board so it is best to keep personal attacks or insults outside. Let’s focus on the great science we are lucky enough to be a part of.
A bloke called John finishes work on Friday sometime during last October and goes to a busy pub in Cambridge. He gets his pint and sits down next to a table where there’s a discussion going on about Covid, the terrible number of deaths and the possibility of a second wave. He listens to the discussions and orders a second pint. The beer kicks in and he gets involved in the debate. He says “ well I think I have found the answer to the problem. I have developed a tablet that you can take with no side effects and it helps the immune system to keep Covid under control and stop many people from dying. Oh and by the way it seems like it can do the same with pneumonia an influenza” There is a stunned silence broken by a sudden laugh as they all say “ you’ve had too much to drink mate and are talking rubbish. Better go home before you fall over”.
But although it’s hard to believe this has been proven in lab test and is likely to be in Covid trials shortly. That’s how big this is. GLA
