“ The next generation of JAK inhibitors is characterised by high selectivity and thus administration of these inhibitors block only one specific JAK molecule. John Reader has said that SDC 1801 has high specificity in JAk1 which as far as I can understand, means it would only deal with the Jak1 ligand and would have no influence on the JAK 2/3 Ligands. Until John says otherwise that’s my take on this, backed up by this Paper.

Just want to question your assertion that the Jak 1 element in SDC1801 has the same amount of JAk 2 in it. I distinctly recall John Reader quoting that they had focused solely on Jak1 due to the adverse effects experienced with JAk2/3. If there is the same amount of Jak2 in our compound why is it that they have been experiencing very low levels of toxicity in animal trials? Also are you suggesting that Sareum’s Chief Scientific Officer has been misleading the shareholders even it is unintentional? As laymen it is much better that we contact the Company on complex scientific issues first for clarification, rather than put our own views out which are based on more limited knowledge. In this case I would strongly suggest that you ask John Reader on this issue so that we can all be clear on this issue.

Wow. They are certainly spreading the net widely. Look at the range of Cancers they are covering in Clause 44!!

There are nearly 3 billion shares here and trades today are 10 mill. Tip of the iceberg. Sit and wait patiently or please sell if you are in a rush. The science has not changed and no one knows what is happening behind the scenes. I can’ count the number of times I have had to quote Warren Buffet.

The attached scientific paper states that the novel ATR inhibitor M4344 and CHK 1 inhibitor SRA 737overcame chemoresistence in SLN11 negative cells when used in combination with DNA damaging agents. Doesn’t this support the view that they can both be used in combination to better effect?

Great find Citizen. Shows the world wide potential of combo treatments for a range of Cancers and SRA 737 playing a major role. Sierra is starting to get hot, something is brewing. Even the Sareum share price has been trending a bit downward. MMS looking for cheap shares. Hold on to them tightly and enjoy the ride. Oh forgot to mention anything about SDC-01 and SDC-02. Both potential blockbusters as well.

Sierra very high volume of trading today - 1,018% above average and another near 5% gain. Momentum is building.

Celtic - having listened to Dilley’s presentation at Wainwright, I believe that Momelotinib will improve patient outcomes compared to existing treatments. But in the longer term, Dilley has indicated that further research into combination trials that include Momelotinib ( and I suspect SRA737) will have the potential to improve treatments even further. The Mylofibrosis (bone cancer) market is not insignificant and is projected to grow by 7% year on year up to 2026. Institutions are lined up for the bigger picture and that includes Momelotinib.

As you say Thoth, the potential here is massive but is taking time to negotiate complex licensing agreements. Share price in the meantime is continuing its upward trend - noteTower Research Capital Ltd has increased its holdings in Sierra by 399%, one of the largest institutional increases this quarter. It’s taking a long time but when this comes to a conclusion the outcome will be mega in my opinion.

Just listened to Stephen Dilley’s presentation. The very interesting bit was at the end where he essentially said that the the next stage with Momelotinib ( treating mylofibrosis known as bone cancer) would be to research what he called the new world of combination therapies to further improve patient outcomes. No doubt to me that will include the use of SRA 737. Sure they will have been having talks with other pharmas about combos on a range of other Cancers for some time so hoping for big news release soon.

Noticed that Sierra jumped nearly 5% quite late on yesterday. Thought that if relevant, it might result in some activity here by MMS today. Early signs that that is happening. Might be a good sign or another false dawn.

Important we do not raise false hope and expectations here. That only results in an opportunity for MM to drop the share price. These events are not a platform for clarifying SRA737s future development in any detail. Those discussions will be going on behind the scene with Potential pharmaceutical partners and final agreements on the way forward will come in an RNS. It will come out of the blue but who knows when. It’s difficult but we must be patient. The focus of these events will once again be the Momentum programme and the upcoming Phase 3 clinical trials. Would be delighted to be proved wrong but in the meantime let’s keep our expectations low key.

Arumel here is the wording of the October RNS. It is clear that they were having to wait for final approval. I believe there was a confirmation RNS in December.

Sareum Announces Grant Funding Conditionally Approved by the UK Government (UKRI) to Explore Potential of SDC-1801, a Selective TYK2/JAK1 Inhibitor, to Treat Covid-19

Cambridge, UK, 27 October 2020 - Sareum Holdings plc (AIM: SAR), the specialist drug development company delivering targeted small molecule therapeutics to improve the treatment of cancer and autoimmune diseases, is pleased to announce that its application for approximately £174,000 grant award (the "Grant") by UK Research & Innovation ("UKRI") to investigate the therapeutic potential of SDC-1801, its selective, small molecule TYK2/JAK1 kinase inhibitor, in severe phase Covid-19, has been conditionally approved.

The Grant is subject to the UKRI's standard financial review of the Company and the submission of additional documentation, which the Company has provided to the UKRI and is now awaiting a formal grant offer letter (the "Offer Letter"). Subject to the Offer Letter being received and the Grant being provided, Sareum has agreed to contribute an additional c.£64,000 in cash and commit additional management time to the project, which is expected to take approximately six months to complete.

Why has a relatively small pharmaceutical company managed to get a large number of institutions on board?

Why did the Chief Development Officer, Barbara Klenke, with a good track record of bringing drugs to market, spend $100,000 of her own money on purchasing Sierra shares?
There is more to this than meets the eye. I suspect the financial institutions and the Cancer Research Institute have been told a story which we will hopefully see the detail of sooner rather than later. It requires patience buy I am sure it will be all worth it when news finally arrives.

Warthog - l an fairly sure that Tim has mentioned potentially “best in class” but cannot find at moment. In the RNS Trading Statement on 11 August Tim said “ Both 1801 and 1802 demonstrate high selectivity for TYK2 and KK1 kinases, promising early safety data as well as compelling activity in relevant disease models. In addition both programmes represent a unique opportunity for pharmaceutical partners as there are CURRENTLY NO MARKETED PRODUCTS WITH THE SELECTIVITY PROFILE OF THESE MOLECULES”. That’s good enough for me although perhaps Thewshaw would like to give us a detailed analysis of why this isn’t the case rather than a four word slogan. Lol
