Not sure about that. If the compounds are that good, I assume the Board would be keen and focused on early clinical trials so that they can achieve full value for what they think they are worth. Just another way of looking at it.

The scientific evidence for SRA737 in combination with other inhibitors started in earnest early to mid 2019. In two years Sierra has not moved anything forward for further trials or announced anything of how they might take it forward. In my opinion All it has done is hide it away and used Momelotinib as a smokescreen. It has not published the results of the Phase1/2 trials completed in March 2020 which breaches FDA criteria. The nearest they came to a trial was when they announced the intention to investigate SRA737 in combo with Merck’s Niraparib. And that was abruptly shelved with no reason given as far as I am aware

Working- think you are right. Must be a logistical nightmare. But he has certainly had enough time in my opinion to at least get the show on the road.

Looks like PF477736 is an ATP inhibitor owned by Pfizer. Seems to have been discontinued?

I have long thought that SRA 737 is our safe harbour. Dilley calls it “our back pocket” It has cut its teeth in Phase1/2 trials and has demonstrated low toxicity. Wider lab trials strongly support its ability to work in combination with a range of other inhibitors and as Thoth says it is now the only CHK1 still in the game. The potential in treating solid tumours ( covers 19 Cancers including the big killers) is exciting. I feel more relaxed with the up and coming SDC1801 Covid and autoimmune trials because SRA737 is in the background. Even Dilley can’t make a bad job of it as it is so versatile. It is our backstop. The trial coming up in a few months are very exciting but high risk. SRA737 is not high risk and that should provide us with some comfort.GLA
PS I have yet to get a reply to my EMail to Sierra about SRA737 over a month ago. Might be a good sign.

Had a look at the various legal definitions of “Timely Manner”.

Timely Manner - “shall mean commencement of work in a fashion avoiding any delay within reasonable control of the franchise”.

Timely manner- “A legal definition would likely impose a specific amount of time and Date by which the task being completed in a timely manner may not exceed”. We do not know if this applies to the amended contract but think Thoth has mentioned it might be 12 months from the start of the amended contract.

On balance I would suggest a timely manner would not be satisfied if a company decided toshelve the project to focus solely on another project.

No doubt in my mind that SRA737 is a sleeping giant. As John Reader has said it could potentially treat up to 50 percent of all solid tumours when used in combo. There are approx near 20 Types of solid Tumour cancers that include the big killers, Lung Liver Pancreatic Ovarian Prostate. I honestly think that Sierra has been struggling to work out how to knit this all together to maximise the potential. Hoping more than expecting that a plan will be announced soon. The Very high number of institutional investors will be putting pressure on Dilley to get things moving.

Tim did say that SRA737 as part of a triple combo demonstrated 100 percent regression in small cell lung cancer in the lab. Amazing if that works in human trials. Think how much that would be worth and the many lives saved.

Got the impression that there are a lot of interested parties behind the scene.

John or Tim flagged up additional evidence found that may point to SDC-1801 having a good effect on Influenza. Interesting that competitors with JAk 2 inhibitors would not be able to treat Pnuemonia or Influenza? Please correct if wrong.

Noted that Tim said they EXPECT to be able to access further Gov support in taking SDC1801 into and through Covid 19 trials.

PS - I remain very confident that John Reader will be able to produce a “ made to measure” low toxic SDC 1801 tablet that will outperform the two existing therapeutic drugs.

Article on the BBC reports that the only two therapeutic drugs, Remdesivir and Tocilizamab are in short supply and only available at high cost on the black market. Tocilizumab normally £313 for a 400ml vial is costing £2,407 privately. Remdesivir is only available on the Black market at high cost. India Is suffering because of the failure of the Indian Government to plan ahead after the first Covid wave. If SDC1801 tablet can save anything up 50 percent of patients it is a blockbuster. Let’s hope that people and their Governments struggling with Covid around the World are able to benefit from it in the future. One things for sure there will be enormous demand for SDC1801 if the trials show positive results.
