Madura- market manoeuvres are not my strong point but it seems the share has been shorted for sometime now. But during the short period it seems that the share price has traded in quite a narrow rangeband And what’s more at a wide spread - often 0.15 and sometimes 0.20. How are they making money? Because if not they will catch a cold leading to pneumonia when the news flow starts in earnest.

Just to further clarify my earlier post. I fear a hostile takeover before our assets are put into trials. Hostile takeovers are where an acquirer makes an offer directly to the shareholders. In most cases hostile takeovers have destroyed value. So worth bearing that in mind.

Potnak- the one thing I fear is a Takeover offer. I know it would mean a clean break which some shareholders find attractive. But the Science supporting SRA737 and TYK2 as next generation treatments is strong. In my opinion, we would end up getting peanuts compared to negotiating individual licensees. I would vote against a Takeover unless it was reflecting very good value for our prized, scientifically supported assets.

When official confirmation is published that SDC180 is to enter clinical trials for Covid 19, I assume that Countries around the World would be looking to pre-order supplies as with the vaccines. Anyone have knowledge about how that procurement would work?

Wherever the share price ends today, we now know that SDC1801 does what it says on the tin in inhibiting covid in human cells. The treatment demonstrated very good tolerability. This alone has booked its ticket on the bus to the clinical trial venues. I think the buses have powerful motors and will arrive at their venue sooner than anticipated. We are on our way.

Thoth- amazing potential and we have also got the SDC 1801 human trials likely to commence in June to treat a range of autoimmune conditions. If successful there are potentially more £ billions there. Oh forgot about SRA737 going into trials sometime this year to treat a range of solid tumour cancers. It’s getting scary!

Just to let you know that I have E Mailed Sierra Oncology as a shareholder about the company’s total lack of transparency in its in its dealings with SRA737. It is not acceptable that there is no mention of SRA737 on its website or listed in its pipeline even more so after the AACR approval of the Cancer Research Institute paper on SRA737 and Adervarsitib. Will let you know the response.

Just reflecting on the recent RNS announcement by Sareum, that researchers from the ICR will be presenting preclinical data (at AACRc annual meeting this coming Saturday) on the combination of the CHK1 inhibitor, SRA737 and Astra Zenica’s WEE1 inhibitor as a potential future treatment for Solid Tumour Cancers. It is worth noting that the range of Cancers that fall into the Solid tumour category:

Bladder Cancer, Breast Cancer,Cervical Cancer, Ovarian Cancer Pancreatic Cancer Prostate Cancer, Colon and Rectal Cancer, Liver Cancer, Kidney Cancer Lip and Oral Cancer, Melanoma, Small Cell Lung Cancer, Non small cell lung Cancer, Thyroid Cancer, Mesothelomic Cancer and Endometrial Cancer.

John Reader, Chief Scientific Officer at Sareum quoted. “We are encouraged to see ANOTHER potential treatment modality for SRA737, in this case in tumours with a TP53 mutation that is present in approximately HALF of all solid Tumour cancers”.

This treatment may therefore be able to treat up to 50% of patients that are currently suffering with from Solid Tumour Cancers in the above list. And it is more likely to be effective as the treatment would be based on targeting individual patient genetic profile.

To me this is really potentially game changing news that the market has yet to catch up with. When it does, who knows where this could go. I have been invested here ( like many here) for over 10 years. It does really feel like it will all coming together during this year.

Hi Batontouge. Sierra only has around 11.5 million shares and the vast majority of those are held by institutions. It follows that if there is a very good news announcement demand for shares will be at a premium and shortages should result in a rapid rise in the share price. As for Sareum, that’s more difficult to predict given the number of shares in play and investors with different agendas, but a rise to 3p would be a conservative estimate to me. I am sure others here might have a better view on this though.

Potnak- no doubt all will be revealed soon. My only take on the milestone payments would be that any announcement of fast tracking SRA737 together with any compelling pre clinical evidence should see the share price soar as there are very few small investors in Sierra. Shareholders are heavy loaded with institutions. A rising share price would enable Sierra to raise further funding for on going clinical trials. But we shall see soon I think.

Think they will be drawing down the $150,000,000 Shelf loans to take SRA737 forward.

I do not think that the large number of institutions buying into Sierra would be doing so if the plan was to return SRA 737 to Sareum. The recruitment of a significant number of new staff is also pointing to SRA 737 staying put. Sierra will want to be a main player in the future development of combination treatments to deal with a full range of Cancers. I am anticipating news soon to confirm this scenario.

I am so glad I did not sell any Sareum shares today. Next week is likely to be lively!

Just noticed myself. Adage is a quite secretive Hedge Fund which invests in long term potential and has stakes in Apple, General Electric and Coca Cola. Total investment is over 48;Billion Dollars. It has a sector focus on healthcare. It is one of the most secretive funds in the Industry.
Wonder why they have invested in Sierra! I think i’ve got a good idea. GLA

Looks like it could be an interesting day on the Nasdaq for Sierra. Volume already nearly 15% of average and most of that is premarket.

Ahfam- the scientific finds on this board and debate are probably at the top end of Aim discussions. But there are a few contributors who always have to have the final say. It’ sc common trait - look up the psychology behind it.

We had it up to here with allosteric whatever. Let’s change the subject and tone! It’s supposed to be the time we have all been waiting for after 10 years or more. I want to enjoy this moment - whether the Science is right, OK or wrong.
