Just a few friendly points, firstly no one posting on Marsrons boards is really bothered with RR, if they were they would surely post on the RR board, unless they were laughing at your post of course.
You say France is putting kerbs on UK travellers. Wrong again, kerbs are put on the side of a pavement, curbs are what France is putting on UK travellers, so apart from frequently misquoting the number of pubs Marstons has, and chopping out your position in MARS at 50p then telling everyone you had made a fortune on it, you manage to confuse everything yet appear to consider yourself the worlds greatest living expert on the stock market.

If you click on the red box at the top of this screen which says "Trading", then on the drop down box on LSE it tells you there that it is managed by Jarvis, so yes, they still do it for LSE, & many others

I think that is a perfectly reasonable statement, sadly though some poster(s) here will dispute it, He (they) seem to think that selling off most of the brewery and becoming hoteliers is the way to go.
But He (they) are also people who think that selling out at 50p & then being a "strong buy" after a few months when they are north of 90p will go unnoticed.
A funny old world eh ?

If you google " jarvis + outsourced to who" you will get a mine of information, it is also mentioned on their website and most years in their accounts, they have been outsourcing services since 1984 and sitting in T Wells must be a cheap location + access to trained staff who prefer not to travel, (WFH wasn't around in 1984!).

They certainly used to.
The Jarvis platform is used by lots of "providers" as they do not compete on them with price, apart from xo which is all online with apparently no telephone contact allowed.
So although the Jarvis customer base itself is not huge they make a lot of money by providing a platform & back office settlement system to all sorts of people who want their name on the tin, so to speak.

I don't think we are panicking as we are still buying on the drops, which is the best way of playing these markets, lmho, but I suspect this could be the last shake of the branch to encourage the primary bid buyers off of the tree ?
If the family turned sellers that is the time to jump ship, surely.

Agreed, I use share deal active as xo was not available when I opened the account some years ago, always found the efficient, website could be updated, I use AJ Bell for my sipp which is good but always found Jarvis efficient and easily approachable.
They also have a strong balance sheet, which is important in their platform game.

I have been averaging gently for a week or two, but I can see no reason why the decline.
Interestingly its closest quoted competitor, I guess, is AJ Bell whose stock had double its normal volume yesterday, according to FT, but their price stayed steady.

Hopefully today the board will stay on topic, it was a good upswing for Mars yesterday on decent volume, but I have to still report that around where I live pubs are perceptibly more quiet than I would have expected, not helped by the weather here, for sure, but it appears in other regions they are going gang busters, so as always, time will tell.

There is something even more peculiar, the tinder lady joined lse on 15 May 2020 and has made very few, 3 or 4, posts in the last month.
Now the 777 (I believe they use Trent engines from RR, not the aforementioned 211's) joined lse on 15 May 2021.
Maybe the nom de plume changes each birthday ?

Far be it for me to interrupt the rivetting news re RR & Melrose on the Marstons board but it could be more relevant to investors to know that at 1pm the FT reported that the average volume in MARS was already exceeding the daily average by 60.8%, which I realise is not half as interesting to learn that RB211 engines burn fossil fuels, but it might be relevant to genuine investors in Marstons as opposed to our "Midnight Rambler" and his fantasies.

As you know from previous posts I live in Docklands and definitely the restaurants which have reopened are not as busy as I thought they'd be in the first week of starting up again.
Pubs busy but not like last autumn just before they closed again, and tourists are an endangered species at present.
Still early days yet but nothing like it was in "eat out to help out" times.
