I agree with you though, as a lth I am still enthusiastic & look forward to the half year report which is usually in mid July as I feel confident that trading has been buoyant for them in this period.
Historically this tends to move just when you don't expect it too

One thing is for sure, dividends will be a long time in coming & this was in a lot of PI's high yield portfolios 15 months ago !
One of my big niggles with the BoD is why they turned Platinum down flat ?
That was a way of preserving their own jobs, I guess, when in reality they are paid by us to look after our interests.
Who is to say Platinum might have paid 120p or so if it was an agreed offer ?

Each time I read the discharger's increasingly odd posts I am reminded of Freddy Mercury, except when he sang "The Great Pretender" he knew he was the real deal, as opposed to our "Sage of Wolverhampton" who just thinks he is.
Interesting article in todays FT saying drinkers will need to be "supercharged" (yes really) to start to reduce Pub groups leverage.

I don't think any of us was expecting a profit, if you read the comments made it is the mood music and the glossing over of details which is concerning posters.

Actually you beat me to it, my impression is that there is a lot of waffle in the report, quite how RF describes us as being in a "robust financial position" when we had to sell 60% of the brewery business to achieve net cash inflow does ring my warning bells.
Furthermore when he highlights the finacial headroom we have with banking facilities there seems to be a failure to point out that this is after 2 renogotiations of covenants were needed in a year.
Were we expecting numbers like this, absolutely, so why try to spin it rather than present the bald facts, warts and all so expectations are managed correctly ?
Also I was hoping for more info re the "no brainer" Brains deal, disappointed there too.
Numbers do not change my overall view, but I would prefer them without the gloss tbh, be very interested to read your thoughts after the digestion session this evening.

Amati did not "buy in", they simply topped up, they have held this stock in their vct for many years, they speak with all their companies at least monthly so if anyone has knowledge of them they do, and in spades.

But you sold at under 50p, so I doubt your advice is really required.

Pleasing indeed, the June 2020 divi payment was 11p so this being equivalent to 14p in the old form is a worthwhile increase, for sure. They did pay 14p in September 2020 & since the split 3.125 in Dec with 3p in March according to my records, which indicates a variable payout but one which appears to be on an upwards trajectory.

So we now know that the CFO is stepping up to replace RF as CEO, from the continuity angle that seems a sensible decision, but as ever, the devil is in the detail, for at this juncture they do need a good CFO, hopefully they will fill this position soon.

Doesn't say much for the 2 people I spoke to just now though at JIM, says even less about me for checking everywhere first except the website, a true plonker !

According to the FT portfolio they went xd 11 June 2020, yet I see in last year's RNS that they were declared in May 2020 & paid 11 June.
Morningstar has a "tbc" by this divi for 2021 & I called Jarvis dealing desk (most employees there are shareholders) & they were not aware of a date yet.
Moral of story, FT is not what it used to be.
But there is no RNS giving a firm date yet that I can see.

But is there an RNS announcing the divi declaration date as I don't see one and the FT does not have a date either, but last year it went XD 11 June, which is why I am intrigued to know where this certaincy comes from that this year it is coming in May ?
