Very good news indeed.
This should have a very positive impact on revenue which hopefully will remove fears of an imminent cash raise.
I do feel very positive now about this stock.
@Reebus
But now the major shareholder is "retiring" according to todays rns perhaps we are deeply in the brown stuff ?
@TG2D
Do you have nothing better to do than keep repeating yourself ?
Why not use what appears to be a lot of free time at your disposal to more fruitful use.
You post on this board as if you have a bad stammer, you can never quite finish what it is you are trying to say, hence the constant repetition...
A much more positive AUM announcement today, this must surely be a good time to invest, albeit with some risk but to me the risk/reward ratio is much better after these figures ?
Hedge
I think you have made an accurate summary there, it looks to me rather appealing.
Sandyman
A rather aggressive response to FD's measured comments, whose posts are always factual & it must be said that even those in this board with a much more optimistic view on MARS than some of us, nobody has ever attacked him personally for no reason.
However looking through your posts recently on other boards you could perhaps consider changing your posting name from Sandyman to "Mr Angry".
Calm down dear boy, calm down...

I stand by what I posted.
I do have a sharedeal active account which is why I knew that the normal transfer fee is £18 inc vat, however, if you request Jarvis to distribute your dividends on a quarterly basis it is free, note just for dividends, not the sale proceeds of a transaction which is still £18.
All you need to do is to phone them or email ;
payments@jarvisim.co.uk
with your instructions and bank details and it will be done.
Try it, you'll save yourself some money !

Your point about retained interest is well made but there is one thing that is in Jarvis' favour & that is their treatment of customers is much better in that ALL dividends received by them on a customers portfolio can be, at the customers request, be distributed to the customer' bank a/c free of charge (their normal bank transfer fee is £18 inc vat) each quarter.
To my knowledge their competitors are not doing this (yet) and it might be a good enough action for JIM to be treated favourably by the FCA when they start fixing rules to make platforms give up this "free money".
The results are now out and the trusted persons review which should have been handed in by 28 Feb is now delayed 2 months.
Also exiting the SIPP market which I find surprising, all in all I guess they could now be a target for II or someone similar ?
FD, as usual a fair and reasoned analysis by you of this currently disappointing investment. The rampers will certainly try to refute your comments but from what I have seen of the commerial property market (not in MARS area though, tbh), it is pretty glum & I see little reason that the hospitality premises on MARS balance sheet are likely to exceed in any meaningful way their valuations. Indeed I would not be surprised to see them written down at some point, but as I have said here many times, Mr Market is not always right but he has had a pretty good track record over the years.
Pubs themselves as a sector have certainly gone ex growth and your point re supermarket sales is exactly what I see amongst my circle of friends, I live in Docklands and the number of pubs which are still open there has apparently more than halved since the millenium. Those which are open are not busy either, for someone who has always enjoyed quaffing real ale with mates I find I am doing it less & less in a pub but much more in private dwellings.
Sorry to be negative but this is how I see it.
@Zinky
Spot on, the thought of a trade in 500,000, given the pitiful turnover in this counter, makes me wonder what Taser is smoking, as I'd like some please...
@Travelcard
With the SP down 8.3% today perhaps someone knows something ?
@Stuart
I have to agree !
What is so irritating to me is that on their website it gives no date for the final figures but it does say that the next AGM is 18 April, which is a mere 4 weeks away and with Easter in between, why keep shareholders in the dark like this, it is madness to do so, IMHO.
Indeed, 2 brokers have appeared to upgrade estimates already, one described it as "hitting sixes".
Let us hope shareholders see some of it, personally I'd be happy just with a boundary hit...
A good reason to suspect the results are very imminent is the SP movement, up from 51p on 13 Feb to 81.5p today, 12 March.
Each time bad news came out for Jarvis this past year ro 18 months, the SP had already been slithering down the snakes in front of an announcement yet this time they appear to be on the ladders ?
Last years final results were out on 9 March so they should be imminent although no indication on the company's website
