TBH I dribbled some in yesterday late pm at 285 & some more today at a tickle under 280.
Like you I am a long term holder and I do see further upside here once the MM's semantics have finished. There is just so much to like about this share, especially when compared to its much more highly valued quoted competitors.

I see the MM's have called the price down pretty sharply this pm, obviously hoping to see some sellers tomorrow from the placing.

Re spreads, indeed so, I fully agree !
I realise Wednesday is the day when the placing shares can be sold, there always tend to be sellers but the strength of this stock recently is likely to tempt a few to take their profits and run, whether it impacts the price much I'm doubtful as the persistent buying in April has been pretty impressive.

Jarvis market cap is low, almost half the shares are in family hands so they do not trade, which makes turnover in any size "by appointment only", if you were a market maker would you want to trade them on a tight quote ?
They are not a charity.....

It is on lse, which we are using, look up AJ Bell and click on RNS, price of Bell is down but the numbers, AUM, new users look terrific to me.

Impressive rns from Bell this morning, hopefully sentiment could lift JIM ?

Interesting your thoughts re valuations, in a recent video Dr Jouardan touched on that himself by pointing out that UK valuations were roughly half that of US ones. I agree with you a lot do look toppy to me too but this fund manager is someone I have always found who talks sense.
I invest in this vct simply because it has done me very well indeed over the last 8 years or so.

Clearly JW's "advice" seems best ignored, this "crock of crap" stock was a very easy one to ramp, as most trades seem to be by appointment only, whatever he did or did not do (& noone can ever be sure), there is never a better rule than DYOR.
Personally I wish him all the best with his holding as this stock tends to be like a lobster pot, easier to get into than to get out of....
Especially with the update provided by the company this morning, less than encouraging imho.

Gents, totally correct, we all get things that do not go as well as hoped but there is nothing to be gained by constantly posting how fed up one is, it is rather tedious for current or potential investors who wish to swap ideas & perhaps test them against the opinion of others.
Buying shares is never a guaranteed way of making money, sadly some seem to think it should be.

Quite agree, I came into this stock earlier this year for exactly what you wrote, additionally I wanted something that could act as a counter balance to other, riskier, shares.
The divi on the assumed "flat" numbers is around 4% and a lot better than a bank deposit. If people want higher risk there are plenty of choices, but whilst nothing is zero risk this has to tick many boxes in reducing ones overall risk.
People expecting to see £3 or so straight afyer the numbers were surely dreaming, a stock this size is closely monitored by professional investors for their funds and priced accordingly.
