I think the constant issuing of shares is the real issue with this share. As I am on a 99.8% loss I have no incentive to average down, I may as well put my money elsewhere. The problem with averaging down is that it ups your stake. All well and good if there is a payoff , but constant promises of jam tomorrow means that people keep uping their stake and don't get the payoff. Sure i admit to sour grapess.and I do congratulate anyone who has made money with VAL. but. I still think that people should be very cautious before uping their stake here. Why not consider an alternative share instead?

Rns promises and gossip made me think this share was worth a punt. Thing is by the time the jam turns up it will have gone off!

I thought yesterday was a false dawn, but even with a 22% spread today it's clear there is a guinue rise. If you have made money today or got back into profit well done. As always be careful about being gready, but hears to hoping this can continue.

Hopefully, but today's moment is entirely attributable to the spread. A 16%up and a 33% spread. Any impression that a 16% up has occurred is entirely misleading. Hopefully a real dawn is around the corner.

I think you are partly right about stop losses. I think the problem is one of predicting the future and having the confidence to walk away. If you trigger a stop loss on a share like VAL it's a big gamble. With spread commonly around 22% triggering a stop loss with a view to buy back at a lower price requires real confidence and that's even before you start about how confident you are that it will go back up after you are gambling it has to go down to make buying back worthwhile. I think it has always been more tempting to wait and see and the resulting procrastination is what makes people end up with big losses. This is definitely a share that AIM newbies or inexperienced investors should steer clear of.

It seems there is a lot of personal investment in this share. I am inclined to think that's the result of the high risk of this share. Although I am personally pessimistic about this share I don't take a personal view towards anyone who takes the opposite view. This is just a gamble I am inclined to think I have lost. I post so that newbies or inexperienced speculatiors don't get a one sided view. I do sincerely hope that the next RNS brings good news.

Totally agree, the only thing that is going to change SP for the better is meaningful performance news from the BOD. As much as I would like that to be soon I would rather wait for real news than a trivial update. It seems to me that we all wait for good news, but generally get trivial news which disappoints and erodes confidence/sentiment. Fingers crossed for good news soon.

I would say I invested in VAL by mistake. I didn't appreciate just how far we were from having anything of value when I invested. Sure I would have understood that dilution would erode my investment. (gamble) but I just didn't have a clue that there would be so many cash calls. That might sound naive (and indeed I was) but who would invest in company if they knew that there investment would be eroded by cash calls in this way? If I just gave the money to cancer research UK. I could have walked away feeling virtuous from my donation rather than feeling like a mug. I think asking if I would feel different if I waited to phase 2 or 3 is fair. It certainly would appear to be less of a risk (with associated less reward) but my experience with VAL would not incline me to invest again later on if we get as far as phase 2 or 3 without going bankrupt beforehand.

Don't even try to make sense of it! Gilders if you are thinking of speculating on VAL I recommend turning around and running away from this share like your life depended on it. If you have lots of experience with AIM shares or bio tech that might be a different. matter. But in general I say abandon all hope ye who invest here!

Just wondering what happens if another share consolidation happens. If the offer was say 1 share for every 1000 held and you hold 600 shares do you end up with 1 share or no shares?

Don't panic anyone this is purely hypothetical as I was holding shares when VAL shares were last consolidated. I was just wondering if repeat consolidations end up with you being washed out I.e. end up with no shares.

I think that's a pretty healthy attitude. I have lost a couple of thousand. It was definitely my mistake to invest here, but I have been continually when I realised I was paying for salaries when the cash calls were being made. I can't imagine the anger of anyone who has invested large sums in this company. I am keeping well away from AIM shares from now on.

Has the AGM already been held? I just looked at the diary tab. (admittedly. I may I didn't check the year at the top of the tab). Last year I was very much in favour of voting the directors out and derailing their gravey train. That's the problem when you allow your shareholders holding to be eroded till it is all but valueless. Since then there has been a chance to multi bag although I didn't risk any more money to benefit from it. I recommend serious shareholders (anyone who has a lot of skin in the game) to go to the AGM to protect their interests. GLA.

I think buy, sale, average down are all appropriate strategies for this share depending on your circumstances. My advice is not to invest here or average down unless you have a lot of experience with the AIM or understand the company intimately. I could average down. (I think even £500 would have a massive effect on my average) but I just prefer to put my money into other shares now and just offer my experience of VAL as a cautionary tale in good faith.

I can understand negative sentiment with this share. But I would say accusing of people of deramping is a little silly. The share performance is such that you just got to ask why deramp? Low low is enough? The sp has totally collapsed I am on 99.7% loss! If you think this is gonna take off there is no point in deramping this is as about as low as you can get!

LMAO!!!! I think I might be able to pick myself up off the. Floor and have my sides restiched by the weekend! My holding is now worth. Less than the transaction fees to sale. As always you pay your money and take your choice. Best of luck to anyone invested here but please think hard before sinking any more money into this company.

I totally agree. The last Consolidation was a 1 for 125 shares held. Would not be surprised to see the same again in a year or so. My shares are now worth £13. If I sale the transaction fee is £12.50. Don't every one laugh at once! I think a another consolation of the 1 for 125 and I might have as many as 3 shares. Not even worth the bottom drawer. Might be better rolling them up and inserting them into a member of the BOD!

I can't imagine much appite for that, but got to admit I would much rather do something that made a positive changeto the world than worry about brexit.
