Tradedesk a bit rich calling William Black an idiot. Very few if anybody has made a profit of 70% on an RRR trade in the last fifteen years. Probably the smartest trade we've seen judged on results not hype.

You and most on here will be underwater for the now and would need .34 or thereabouts for an equivalent gain. Time will tell on funding and DRC if my caution is warranted.

Hi Liquid - I agree Andrew has steered clear of over ramping DRC on formal RNS. Indeed little or no proper RNS news since he conceded he was negotiating with someone with no authority.

He leaves the DRC ramps for the stock box interviews and Twitter. It's a case of joining the dots. I agree "dead" is a harsh assessment but based on previous rather underhand behaviours by Andrew its reasonable. If it had any realisable value he would have sold it on yonks ago. So I'm sticking with dead or on life support. He said it was imminent 15 months ago !! Don't you find it strange it's resurfaced with all the Lithium excitement. I give the company the benefit of the doubt on Lithium but not on DRC.

Bratt I have to pinch myself on your posting. If his shareholding is a big tick your bar is set extremely low.

Bratt - AB has faced 15 years of shareholder wrath for his inability to match all the grandiose statements with any meaningfull shareholding. The situation today is no different little or no skin in the game.

DRC is dead as with most AB litigation. He,s wheeled it in to create a spike. The big posters know from postings little guys have to a degree has been taken in.

To be fair Zimb sounds promising key question is how promising ? AB allways over pitches so sales in a week $500m a month is overstretching. Deep down I think they may have the asset but lack infrastructure.

Key week for RRR AB needs news or else the doubts from our new holders will creep in.

On DRC Andrew is clever he uses Vox Twitter anything but official channels. Over 15 months he's said similer ready to sign etc repeatedly He actually spent 9 months negotiating with someone who did not have authority and had inserted themselves in the process. He did RNS that !!!

I suspect he's dusted down the old story line re funding is imminent on DRC to drum up support and the SP. He has done that a lot over 15 years.

Still if Zimb is as good as you all think it is - you won't need DRC.

Yes Terry. However they have no debt significant cash, declining overheads and a super strong balance sheet.

It will no doubt fall but pretty good recovery play.

Zumore - I've never quite understood how pictures a month ago of a peice of barren land a small pile of rocks and eight rather dishevelled security guards - translate into a fabled $500k cash flow per month almost immediately.

Normally we mortgage any assets we have and sell them at a song with no benefit to shareholders. Not convinced this will be any different.

Kign are you sure ? Simplification means policy intent is to have a single measure of taxable profit rather than two different calculations as you suggest. I can't see anything to the contrary on line. It's quite key as it means borrowing is seriously cheap.

My understanding if we borrowed to acquire is that the interest would be corporation tax deductible. There is a limit on interest offset at 30% of taxable profit. So a huge allowance for HBR.

For HBR the effective cost of borrowing would be 75% deductible so would only be a real 2 -3%.

This would make any aquisition accretive almost from day 1.

Presumably they could re-finance it the uk on operations to aquire abroad to get the full 75% releif ?
