My thought are (1) hedging ( both at higher rates and allowable for losses if we get it wrong) (2) existing tax losses (3) mix of uk /overseas operations (4) do decommissioning provisions impact FCF ? I get the accounting but it's provisioning for now.

(5) aquistion either ENQ for losses or overseas.

I know we can only work on what we have now but plenty of opportunity to increase base FCF from your do nothing baseline.

The forward look is what excites me. Assuming as you say we can tread water on buy backs and dividends for 5 years that's 100% return with divi and buybacks to current shareholders.

In 2028 what's the value of the company ? With only 300million shares !

If FCF is $1BN IN 2023 and the exhaustion of tax losses increases the tax charge from $450m to $1.5bn in 2024. The company will in 2024 have negative FCF.

Is that really what you are suggesting ?

If it is presumably caused by a one off timing difference on EPL which will unravel from 2025 ?

Not a criticism but just stress testing your calculations from a top down perspective.

Im also interested in hedges I did think hedge losses were allowable. So if you hedge at $60 and price is $80. The $20 is allowable against mainstream tax ( not EPL) . As such hedging could be advantageous

Also capital allowances will still reduce tax bill after historic losses have been utilised based on cap ex these are sizable.

I think we are awaiting for August TU. In the year I've been invested HBR has never let us down on updates.

A simplistic view but I think with EPL the market stuggles to value us. Half year results will reveal what is possible in a subdued period for prices and a 75% tax regime.

The current valuation is suppressed. Visibility of a steller H1 performance coupled with rising prices and hedges lapsing I hope will kick start us.

Hi As1983 - I'm assuming all your Xmas would come at once if we reached 20p.

The limited share count means that is a market cap of £45m so well possible. Key for me are :

- no share issues

- pay back debt

- improved trading.

The first two dependent on the third. I've brought in as virtually all other operators are doing well and I do think Peach will more than pay for the debt they took to purchase it. If the debt had been raised for the existing business I would be worried but it was not. Hopefully good news soon.

Why the big rise ? Jupiter our number 1 and best ever asset resumed production. Our share interest worth a fortune have been subsequently sold to fund overheads and vanity projects.

Amazingly no raises / placings in the period so the gain held. NIne times out of ten he would destroy any gain. AND this will make you chuckle

Three raises of 14m shares each for Direcors options at the rock bottom price on .0147p. The first of which was five days BEFORE the RNS on resumed production. All now exercised at a nice profit.

There may be great news but that does not translate into a better SP for ordinary Joe's. Any benefit will be given to those in the know and our very own CEO. If its worth £100m. He would issue huge amounts of shares at huge discounts or to pay off hidden debts to ensure the company the benefi for the few who run the company. That's why Bell has never been challenged.
