When the Havieron crescent was first discovered it was looked on as an anticline tipped up on its end with the core being full of breccia. Of course this proved not to be the case.

Describing the WDD it definitely is an anticline with a mineralised strata ( the LLU) wrapped over the top of it.

My point of my quiz yesterday and my presentation was to show that the core of the WDD anticline has similar grades of ore as some of the Havieron sulphides and it’s breccia.

Therefore the WDD has similar characteristics as the crescent with similar grades. It is nearly horizontal all within 3km radius of the shaft. There’s no dyke causing issues. It has a vertical fault with a fluid pathway running through it. It’s all within hard rock no slushy mess to get through.

The WDD is slightly further ahead in first production terms but way behind in exploration terms. By that I mean the modelling and mine planning are in place, the underground crusher is already there, the route out to the ROM pad is in place, but the orebody is still open downwards, to the north,south and west. That means there’s a lot more to define.

In the WDD RNS it states they will be drill planning the next round to get more knowledge of the core and describes it as a mirror image of the Main Dome.

This indicates there could be more ore above this WDD where in the Main Dome they removed it by an SLC operation .

Havieron hasn’t got this luxury of a big area to SLC it’s all stoping and backfilling to leave the surface and aquifers intact.

The WDD looks like our second Havieron in my opinion .

In the admissions document last September Stage 7 and the then Stage 8 extension were just exploration targets. Personally I could see the potential in these to close the “production gap”

Now these 2 stages have been added into the latest MRE dated 31st Dec. There is 28.8mt of indicated resource and 86.8mt of inferred.

The plans and sections in the MRE are showing these stages within the black dotted lines, there are big areas all around the outside of these showing more indicated and inferred.

“The Stage 7 Cutback and Stage 2 Extension (Figures 2 & 3) were previously classified as Exploration Targets in Greatland's Admission Document dated 10 September 2024. These areas have now been incorporated into the 2024 Telfer MRE. Drilling of the additional Resources outside of these previously identified extension (blue text in Figure 2 above and Figure 3 below) began in February 2025 and will continue to be a focus throughout 2025 with a second reverse circulation (RC) drill rig recently arriving on site.”

You can see the scale of it by them announcing they will be drilling it for the rest of the year.

I personally can see these 2 pits joining up, what they’ve shown in stage 7 is not the MVR reef which should be lower continuing under the north pit.

The NSR cut off used A$3,450 so it has scope to be open in most directions.

Very exciting before we get to the Deeps.

Took sometime putting those 2 posts together and they got lost in a sea of waffle 🙁

I see people are expecting high expectations, I hope they’re right but the grades in the MRE are holding down mine.

80,000 oz eq a good expected result

90,000ozeq very good results

100,000 spectacular

From the grades in the MRE I worked out the following for gold only:-

West Dome pit 35,000 oz

Underground 33,000 oz

Stockpiles 20,000 oz

88,000 plus copper

Less recovery factors.

Breaking this down a bit further

55,000 oz from 4mt between West Dome and stockpiles

33,000 oz from 400,000 ton Underground.

You can see why they’re progressing the ESC to get those high grade ounces and less processing costs.

They would need to get far more tonnage out of the underground to obtain some peoples high expectations and they are just not available at present.

I’m hoping for a very good result but not expecting spectacular. The main thing is the average price achieved and lower costs and revenues incoming.

What is in the MRE in the Main Dome?

Next to the SLC void you can see the indicated and inferred ore referenced in the MRE. The rigs are not here at the moment although they have said they will be targeting the inferred to upgrade it for the reserve report.

Indicated 5.6mt and inferred 2.3mt of high grade gold and copper.

Same area the A reefs is showing a larger zone of mineralisation but is showing g/t eg red is 2 to 5g/t and magenta is greater or equal to 5g/t.

This ore goes to the underground crusher and then to the hoist.

This is all that is in the MRE.

What’s not in it:-

Main Dome open pit

The VSC

LLU

Kylo

Mreefs

ESC

The rigs are drilling the ESC at the moment, they are there as there is little infrastructure costs to remove the ore so quicker to get it out. This zone is being trucked out through the decline.

The rigs will be moving to the West Dome deeps

I’m referring to the image in figure 1

The MVR reef has been removed in the centre of the pit but it still in the sides of the pit especially under the east ramp and under the north end.

You can follow it from the north end and see it diving down at the south end.

There looks a great deal of waste rock to come out of the east ramp before they get down to the reef at the southern end.

I’m anticipating mineralisation to continue a bit further to the south but might interfere with one of the vent holes.

The west side may have mineralisation in it but this is above the SLC void so dodgy.

The north end I’m anticipating the mineralisation to be like the weaker section of the West Dome pit. The gold price rise is bringing all this into play as the NSR cut off price increases.

The NSR cut off $ is normally lower than the actual gold price as it takes in all the costs to see if removing it is viable eg the West Dome pit has Aus $3,450 . The shell boundary shown under the west dome can only get larger as the short term gold price rises.

The increase in gold price is very good for Ggp ounces.

“I believe the uplift for TSF8 is going well, (paid for by Newmont as part of the deal) so there will be plenty of tails capacity in the short to medium term, and there’s even talk of another lift on TSF7 at some point, even though 12 months ago Newmont said it would never ever ever be used again”

The satellite images are not clear enough to see the dam walls work but there is something major happening across the tailings on 7 the big circular dam. There are tracks leading to a large / long rectangular feature could be grading it. Not sure what they’re upto.

Well it was 450oz in the 15 month mine plan, so that’s 90,000oz for the quarter. The 27 days in December with both trains going produced 33,000oz eq so that’s near Elements 100k. That particular ore came from the high grade stockpiles left on the ROM pad by Newmont. The grades coming out of the West Dome pit weren’t that high and the copper grades were lower. The ore from this Stage looked on the satellite to be depleted, that is some going and could be the reason of higher ounces recovered.

The remaining stockpiles are lower recovery rates.

The grades from the A and M reefs seem to be remaining high.

For the gold recoveries per quarter to remain higher than the original plan is going to take some doing especially with the transition from Stage 8 to Stage 7 and exploration still continuing on 7.

Will be great to hear the forward plans.

Why the workforce haven’t realised that there’s at least 6 years of life in Stages 7 and 2 with possibilities of many more to come in those 2 alone 🤷‍♂️

Well I’m keeping my expectations subdued after Shaun told us not to expect the same results as those 27 days due to that ore being higher grade. I hope to be pleasantly surprised.

Didn’t like the bit about the staff rumour I hope they sort that out.

Newmont submitted a Mine Closure Plan and was rejected for more information last September. Resubmitted by Greatland consultants in January and now approved.

That’s a big hurdle out of the way.

There’s 2 underground drilling rigs at the moment I believe they both could be on the Eastern Stockwork corridor. This is the zone between M30 and M35 reefs. Could they be thinking of sub level caving this as well? A distinct possibility in my view.

The WDD is still being planned, they have said they want to drill test for the hydrological surveys first and also step out drills. I thought that drilling rig video was them doing the hydrological drilling but apparently it’s for stage 7 not the Deeps.

The RNS states they want to target the area below the high grade LLU.

The position of the drill drive where the Deeps drilling was positioned from is not close enough to the WDD to find the extent of the anomaly but it’s in an ideal spot to drill test the lower anomaly.

The few intercepts through this zone show comparable grades to the Havieron sulphides.

There’s one surface drill that penetrated the southern flank of the WDD and it went deep it found the high grade LLU showing a 400m length of the western flank limb. That is massive as the section through the WDD only goes down to c200m, the underground drills never got anywhere near this one maybe 300m away. The drill drive needs to go a lot further and downwards.

This is like the start of Havieron again when Newcrest started drilling, very exciting.

Depending what variables you use the high grades here looks as the LLU could match the Main Dome underground, the copper at 1.07% average is extremely high. 3-4g/t eq average could easily be achieved similar to Havieron.

The MVR reef under the West pit is sole basis of huge increase in resources and where the 2 extra rigs are heading for, it’s this zone where nearly all the inferred resources are situated and they want to upgrade these to indicated resources.

When Shaun was talking about a single train they must have had thoughts of running Havieron through in conjunction with the WDD and remnants of the Main Dome.

11.5mt would have been perfect for that. The open pits were both deemed to be depleting so not needing the second train.

Now is a different story:-

Much higher gold price making the remaining ore in the pits far more viable and the potential zones in the pits increasing in ore tonnages.

If you have 150mt to go through the mill plus WDD, Main dome underground and Havieron as well then one train will be utilised for the open pits. 150mt at 10mt a year is 16 years just for the West Dome open pit let alone when the Main Dome pit comes on line.

23mt processing in the foreseeable future is game on for many years.

I think the WDD will produce before Havieron, could be end of 2026 if they start the Decline asap. There is no stockpiling issue apart from on the ROM pad.

Havieron has to stockpile on the ROM pad at Havieron storing enough to start transport and then stockpile on the Telfer ROM pad so double handling in effect.

WDD has no transport costs or double handling or infrastructure costs to get it out.

The size of it may be mind blowing.

Good to see others are realising that Ggp’s emphasis has to be the West Dome Deeps over Havieron. It’s the closest to production, Telfer needs it more than Havieron for the near future and then produce alongside Havieron when it comes on line.

We have a slight lull at present waiting for the quarterly results, hopefully they will give some guidance on future plans and timescales but the WDD is coming on at a pace. In the RNS recently they said they were formatting drilling plans including step outs and hydrological drilling. Well those images from Hopefullygold showed a drilling rig and I placed that halfway up the benching on Stage 7 above the WDD. Apparently that may have been a hydrological drilling rig .

Will be exciting to know if they are starting the Decline to the WDD or extending the underground drilling access so they can reach the step outs.

With copper grades averaging 1.07% and high grade gold it certainly is a prize worth pursuing.

With the copper price dropping with short term geopolitical news the real short term story of copper is one of lack of supply. New copper mines are a bit of a rarity.

The WDD is going to be full of extension possibilities keeping Telfer going for years to come. Just read the RNSs to see the comments “ of similar geology to the Main Dome” and see what could happen at the WDD.

Exciting times to come.

I’m expecting a Sustainability Report in May it might come. This could give some hints at future electrical requirements such as solar farm to utilise a conveyor system, a smaller conveyor to handle smaller tonnages could be used initially for cost efficiency but I suspect it will be a larger system.

Solar farm , conveyor, additional mine plan could all tie up for around 10-15 years time
