I expect the market have already factored in the boost to revenues of the world cup, after all it is only a short event and only every 4 years. If only they could make it bi-annual!!
Also ITV isn't the only broadcaster covering the football....hopefully they have a good package that will attract a significant % of viewers but they don't have a monopoly.
Best case scenario is that everyone switches to ITV football coverage AND England do well, perhaps even get to the final.
But slightly odd that ITVX isn't going live until 8th Dec, after people have settled into their world cup viewing habits.
