I had sold almost half my holding but can’t buy at the moment as waiting to see how another share performs during this downtrend. Otherwise I would be back into big time.
Jefferies ups their buy price from 600 to 670 pence.
I would like to see another $100million of buybacks at anything below 425 pence!

I wouldn’t touch NewMed with a barge pole so wouldn’t invest in CNE either. It’s a worry that the SP is 30 below the total offer….and maybe that offer will disappear.

Did you hold shares in the past and lost big time and you’re still angry?

Aston Martin is not going to go bust overnight or a couple of months as they’ve only just completed the RI so they have scope to turn this car crash around, although a recession is not good for anybody including AM.
A takeover is a possibility, however, someone would have to have big pockets and I’m not convinced one is around the corner.
Slightly out of pocket here but can give management a few months to see whether they can pull out of the car pound into the middle lane, that would do. 140 pence in my opinion end of the month.

No, you are correct. Anyone selling now is making a loss. PIs who bought into RI have an average higher than 103 pence, so, even higher loss – if they sold and converted a paper loss into real loss.
Incredible as it seems, shares are down 50% in a month and that’s AFTER the RI was announced.
It’s yet another car crash.

So, calculating what the market cap would be before the rights issue based on todays SP, the company would be just £26 million.
Is it me or is there something wrong with that valuation….I’m losing faith in just one week of owning a few of these shares.
I’ll be out at 80 pence but long time investors must be livid.

WoW. AML is over 50% lower after one month losing over £500 million in value, almost as much as the rights issue. Investors can’t be happy. Surely BoD need to steady this share slide with something.
I’m not losing massively but still surprised by the relentless losing streak.

Lol, another good reason not to trust all the figures you see when they have not been updated!

1. Market Cap is SP 102 x total shares 377m = £385 million
2. Buys vs Sells does not mean more or less of one or the other. Many buys / sells occur off book and can appear much later.
3. I wish I had not bought and waited till today.

Yes, perhaps CNE will make a bid for Tullow at 60 pence. If CNE has all this excess cash they should put their money where their mouths are, why go for another merger!

Can’t quite figure why investors are selling shares (I assume) they have just acquired in a rights issue for an average much higher than current SP. How has the economic case since drastically reduced the prospects from the prospectus?
Surely you would give some time for a turnaround plan to even start to materialise!

So, Market Cap is a mere £405 million vs Rights Issue which was £654million. A £249 million reduction in value excluding the existing shares or 66 pence per share.
Is the sell off a bit too much since realistically 109 plus 66 would make 175 pence per share.
I have decided to take punt at 112 pence. Hopefully, a turnaround is imminent.

Looks like the market is not impressed with the deal either. The grass is not always greener on the other side and burnt Tullow deal down which won’t happen now.
Look at THG they regret not taking a 170 pence takeover approach and now are under 40 pence!

Yes, as expected Tullow are not going to increase their offer. They clearly have no intention to overpay for a company with limited appeal. In my opinion the deal now is worse.

Agreed. Large investors wanted a larger premium. Poor hookup in my opinion and not one that will get investors long term returns as most is cash. Then up to individuals where they invest.
Cairn should have done a reverse takeover at say 60 pence.

Still not as much as the Rampers or large investors wanted. You are going to get mainly cash so any future asset share enhancement is limited.
Therefore, is it a good match? Maybe.
IMO Tullow was the better deal long term. Wait and see in a years time!
