The dispute happened on GM's watch, - of course he was not keen to give an inch.
The new boy's come along and you think his attitude will be different. - He will say and do things likely to make DHSC believe there is a change of attitude at NCYT. - Well perhaps.
But the other board members need no reminding of the thwarted plans, the stress, the pain of seeing the Mid-Cap status goal disappear when the second tranche of the September contract was not agreed. They may still have their colours nailed to the mast. There's a lot to lose here if we BoD start having second thoughts.
David has been told to adopt the GM status Quo of not divulging news. There's no reason why the second commandment is not 'thou shalt battle the DHSC with all thy strength and resolve'.
Who knows Porky, - anything might happen, but because there has been no resolution, and because we can receive no update on attempts at resolution, your attempts to dumb down the fracas are inappropriate.

If that is your attempt to dumb down the dispute and put another face on it, - from yesterdays RNS:
"At this time, the Company continues to engage with the DHSC to resolve the dispute and continues to believe it has strong grounds to assert its contractual rights."

No new info creeps out that way, - stick to the script.

I'd like to know why operating a "100 day holistic review" (from RNS), needed to be performed in total silence and in complete secrecy.
If sh's had known this we would not have determined the board had chosen a hermit.
Unofficially, Mandy could have advised whilst performing her normal duties, and certainly I would have understood.
Now it just sounds like a 3 month 'Jolly'.

I worked for British Airways engineering in the 1990's.
When a new MD was required, the 'successful candidate' was from General Electric USA.
He had a 100 day intro to the business doing essentially what DA has done (I believe fairly common in USA), so not strictly politics IMO.
He spent the next two years placing round pegs in square holes, - but DA is showing he knows better, placing two great candidates in the old COO and CTO roles.

It seems clear to me that the logical course of action now is to buy when the BoD buys.

The price action today leads me to believe that the RNS news being received poorly was one issue.
But the publication of the CEO's first video, - though it contained nothing that wasn't in the RNS, seemed to have a much worse effect on the market.
I'm left feeling the sp dropped further simply because the video content accentuated the negative vibes.

Genomics consortium
The WHO is proposing to set up a SARS-CoV-2 genomics consortium in Southeast Asia this year. The consortium will help enhance genomic sequencing and surveillance. This will also help improve the timely use of genomic data for public health decision-making and to strengthen preparedness and response to future outbreaks/ pandemics, added a release issued by the group. Stating that challenges remain, Dr Singh said that limited trained workforce and other resources are key barriers identified by countries for sustained long-term testing and sequencing capacities. In a bid to address this, the WHO is building a community of practice — sharing of experiences through webinars and sharing of information through platforms such as the regional laboratory network. “With COVID-19 cases once again beginning to increase, we need to remain vigilant. Which means enhancing our capacities to quickly test and provide timely results, and conduct genome sequencing for new variants,” Dr Singh said.

If there is regular contact with DHSC, IMO it does not sound like our dispute is being lumped in with other disputes that await Judicial review in May.

What this share needs is for DA to realise that " delivering value to our shareholders" cannot be achieved by starving the shareholders of information for 6 months at a time.
Shorters abound when sp climbs, and this being AIM, we cannot maintain the sp without fresh info. -
