I've read some speculation regarding the increasing ( and large ) short positions on Premier Oil as being those in the know that an RI to fund Sealion or Zama could be about to happen.
I personally think the shorts might just be a hedge against Premier Oil bond buying but the first theory would make sense.

It all depends what time frame you look at, While I was in, Enquest it fell from around 42 to 15p In another time frame during the refinancing PMO rose from 42 to 148 then fell to 55 then back to 109 or was it 119 those numbers are all just from memory so might not be exactly correct. I trust you will agree we PMOers and Enquestrians just need a time machine to help us out a bit.

I think most of us know Enquest fell a lot harder so its just coming back to where it belongs.
I really like Enquest but the finances are somewhat opaque.

Woodford didn't sell any it was a transfer to St James who withdrew their stock from his management. Read through the TR1s its all there to see.

The clever shorters were happy to close some above £2.50. They increased significantly AFTER the Woodford Fund issues which were known about and written about well before when the SP here was over £4. Shorters also pay for the order flow so they can 'front run' any large selling.
