I don't like to assume I like to know. For example I always know the short position here. Why would someone double up their short position at 25p when they could do it at 40p ?
BTW that's quite some leverage if you have short exposure to 500k shares here.

The clues in the name. Your previous answer made no sense at all. You state Woodford is ' locked in' to a liquid share recently quoted on the FTSE250. While I have shown you St. James Place who are not the same as Woodford have sold 5% here so they are not locked in.

St. James didn't seem to think they were locked in. So Woodford could have sold a percentage if he needed cash to cover the forth coming fund redemptions. Woodfords clients are locked in but he is not.

Correct although I feel the 250k Woodford buy was more of a statement of defiance to the shorters, it might have been his own personal money, as he invests his own money in the fund. Talking of shorters where have our two friends gone ?

No shorts above 0.5% but Euroclear showed 4.94% stock on loan at end of June. So there are shorts here in my view.

I think debt is the expensive one. dept on the other hand is more of a segmentation of a whole thing.

Why isn't Neil Woodford selling ?

Theres still some shorts here and looks like some accumulation yesterday and after hours. Either an algo driven drop to help the shorters close or mms dropping the bid to fill the orders after 16.35.
That's my take. Not very clever being short a gold miner when POG is above $1400 !

I don't think its the 2nd most shorted and as I said I also don't think its a straight forward bet against the share price. Goldman Sachs have a substantial long CFD on PMO. If your interested the number is 19.95% I think Metro Bank is higher and Kier Group is about the same. My view on that is its a bet against Woodford.
