Just opened a long Brent spreadbet. Lets call it the downbutnotout contrarian indicator.

There is not a trading update due until 19th Sept. But why not spread some more fear and uncertainty like the guy on ADVFN who said it was due on 30th June so its now late !

Just to be clear I said Carillion and Interserve shorts were double the percentage of shorts here and they were like that for quite sometime. I would guess the total number here right now is very close to Woodfords holding.

There is not a ratio as each stock and position is different. There is also various shorting strategies such as bond/ equity arbitrage. I have seen the total short positions here and followed the ones on Carillion and Interserve. They were double the position here and those positions were taken before a lot of the bad news was out from those companies.

It doesn't really matter what the opening and closing price is today as I think most of us here won't be selling until its well over a quid.

Or should that be strong selling according to some on here.
