Pre-tax profits have jumped 16% at Morgan Sindall as the contractor posted a strong set of half-year results.

Turnover for the six months to June 30 was steady at £1.42bn while pre-tax profits rose to £35.5m from £29.9m last time.

Margins at the Construction & Infrastructure division improved again to 2% from 1.7% as the company continued to be selective about projects it goes for.

Morgan Sindall also enjoyed an end of period net cash balance of £114m

I think thats a fairly reasonable Woodford synopsis. So sometime in 2020 what percentage of Woodfords investors do you see bailing out at a loss ?

The only point I was making regarding Woodford was that he CAN read a balance sheet and is aware of accounting trickery. He has a 30 year track record and has had AUM of £14 Billion. He can no doubt correctly read an RNS unlike yourself as you showed us here a few weeks ago. He has also gated the WEIF fund until at least December so there is unlikely to be any forced selling here.

The buy sell numbers are only indicative as its based on the mid point between the bid and offer. If it helps I have some different numbers before the UT it was buys 14.579m to sells 12.907m

Looks like its really pretty easy to dupe Neil Woodford then, out of £100s of millions !

The UT is just that an uncrossing trade. Its market makers squaring the days trades. So it is quite hard to read into. I noticed that Lloyds has 4 times the number of shorts than RBS.

I would call that a very strong finish with FTSE down 2.2% ! we are only 3.7% down after a 33% up day yesterday.

Or another favourite Tullow oil with around $3billion net debt on $1.8 Billion revenue. That would be equal to Kier having net debt of over £7 billion.

Yes and no, with total assets of £2.8b including £300m of cash that leaves a Net Asset Value of £600m ( market cap ) only £130m
Shell has liabilities of over £200 Billion and net debt of over £70 billion

A stopped clock is right twice a day, would you like to explain your timbeeer analysis of this mornings RNS ? Or as you said yesterday that you 'have heard' there is little interest in the sale of Kier living. CEO seems to state otherwise in an RNS a just few hours later. So you have been right once and wrong more than twice .. whats your point and why constantly post on the board of a stock when you state your not long or short ?

Well I guess coming on here 24/7 slating the company telling all holders its going to 0p debt for equity swap etc. Keeps your buy in price down a bit so well done there, and everyone else be aware what this character is about.

You can add 6% for the shorts below 0.5%. Looks like the game is now up for the shorters. I think we will be back in the £2 + range quite soon.
