Assuming Gold trading above $2100 and Russian Gold back on the LBMA or a work around 1174 would be a steep discount to where this would have been pre war.

I sold out of here at 1174 when Putin was amassing his troops and there was talk of Russia being booted off SWIFT.
The Gold price was lower then to where it is going to be when this recovers, so I don't see why in the fullness of time that level will be seen again.

Avanza don't need to TR1 on retail holdings ie nominee account. The percentage shown is their own institutional holding and they are trading this hard ! How they manage to sell and accumulate yesterday is genius.

Cheeky 250,000 and 100,000 sells yesterday to take it down then 500,000 and 700,000 buys towards the close.
I still believe Avanza are holding this back until they are ready to let it go to mid 30s I would say.
Tullow is different, sold off reserves on the cheap has massive hedges at $75 and had ( has ) a much larger short position.

Just buy side vs sell side. They need to make a market. There seems to be more liquidity in TLW and a larger short position ( stock on loan ) which is being unwound. I sold out there between 60.5 and 59.5 a little while ago .

I take it you are well aware of how Blackrock frequently prop trade with a small percentage of their holding, to manipulate the stock up and down. Take a look at the Centamin TR1s of the past. Their most recent increase back over 5% there has not been telegraphed but it is on the London Stock exchange website.

Nah he is de-ramping hard as he wants to buy in as soon as good news breaks. Until sanctions lifted this doesn't suit his risk profile.

Yup there it is 155.7 a full 5p above the last trade. I'm seeing 12.6m buys vs 8,11m sells ( only a rought yard stick of course )
Looks like EVR holding up rather well too even with no divi to be paid.

So is the official story re the 1400 U/T that it was just a 'fat finger' trade by a market maker ? If so it should have come out of auction at 140p with the U/T. That would have been a long way off the price pre auction and doesn't make sense either.

China, India, Brazil, Turkey, Mexico, Israel, UAE to name a few did not sign off on sanctions and will continue to buy Russian commodities at a discount while the rest pay top dollar
