Yes I think you are correct, however the Oil and Gas price spike will subside, eventually. I predict more inflation, a few rate hikes then much more QE.. How much damage do you think the Russian sanctions can do to Barclays ?

I had noticed on IG they seem willing and able to take spreadbets on RKH, where as others like POLY and HOC for example is closing trades only, been like that for some weeks, any thoughts on that ?

I am wondering if there is a way Harbour can offload their 60% interest to Navitas with out incurring a balance sheet write down, perhaps if the deal is 'no money down' and a percentage of profits further down the line until the balance sheet value is cleared off ?

Interesting to read that, thanks for posting, so I make that 0.13% of Hargreaves customers have 1m ISAs. I wonder if the ones in there 20s have made the money ( if so I suspect a few professionals with insider type info)
I will let someone else do the maths but I guess if you started a junior ISA as early in life as possible then added max allowance each year, compounded divis and some stock appreciation, would that get you over the million by say 28yrs old ?

You should perhaps mention re Tullow oil that there is a long running tax court case claiming $1.8billion, which if successful would I believe completely wipe Tullow out. They also have a lot of oil hedged in the high $70s. Enquest would be a better bet if you want some highly geared exposure to the high oil price, less hedging, less debt, lower MCap and double the FCF

Because there seems to be strong demand for those shares at 151 upwards. How do we know that the placing wasn't mostly sold in blocks to institutions, it was at a discount after all. How long are you guessing the rump will take to clear ?

Maybe with hindsight yes, we should also all have bought Tesla and bitcoin. Two complete investment jokes if you ask me. Better yet would have been a 3x WTI ETF at $38.
Buying US growth at a time of asset purchase and balance sheet wind down might not be the best idea. Whats the PE of AMZN and TSLA again ?

I think it is equally as likely that an entity has said to our market makers I want 12m shares whats the best price you can sell them to me for. Looks like we have 7 market makers so its not un imaginable that one of them would offer to fill the order at 8.66p Market makers listed that I can find are

The stock out on loan here was 9.19% at end of Feb 22 down from 10.05% at end Jan and 10.68% end Nov 21 and down again from 11.61% end Sept 21
I suspect the shorts are now and possibly have been closing.
still could be quite a bit of stock to buy back.

A very good synopsis if I may say, and particularly applicable to Enquest.
Any thoughts on who/ why the large sells going through for the last several days ?

I find it bizarre that we only seem to be able to rise when Brent spot is rising,
Surely it makes not one bit of difference to the valuation of Enquest if spot Brent is $122 or $117.
Also got the feeling that 100,000 sell ( and possible some of the large sells yesterday ) were buys.

Moving from Enquest to a FTSE250 oil company, more money, more prestige. Thats all.

Do Tullow think that Jonathan Swinney can make their accounts look as good as ours ?

Good luck finding extra all those extra 2Cs and unwinding the hedging !

To be fair I'm sure they have offered him more money.
