Good point but doesn't that mean they were selling into weakness yesterday ?
I heard some of these funds have risk management rules that if any one stock drops more than a certain percentage they have to sell !
Also remember a lot of these pension funds were invested heavily in a number of Neil Woodford's disasters !

They might not have had to hammer it down with such a large spike. I only tend to look at the CFTC positions but I know there are places you can find the daily short and long contracts numbers. But as we saw yesterday positions change change in a short space of time.

Well it looks like those Avanza people are quite ( over ) actively trading this, with their holding they have the fire power to raise or lower the SP. I noticed Blackrock were doing this with CEY sometimes for accumulation purposes.
Any thoughts on Blackrock's strategy on CEY onedb ?

Really hard to say, it looks like they are pushing Silver down as much as they can.Could be before a really big move up. POLY still up an extra 9.5% and FRES up too.
Weird that bitcoin didn't rise yesterday, could the Cyber attack on Ukraine have worried investors ?

Good point, however $2150 and perhaps the corresponding $33-$35 Silver as a new high could signal $2350 is coming and we all know the market likes to price ahead- hence back to all time highs here. Thee could also be some PMs coming off market if Russia is dumped from SWIFT.

I thiink this should go back to the 130 area pretty fast. Also interesting to think JPMs upgrade from 190 to 200 would have been done yesterday based on the results not on the increase in PMs today and to no doubt follow. I think the $2150 level is in sight for Gold so that should see HOC back to the previous highs I woud have thought. Brent just hit $105, I mentioned yesterday on the ENQ board the 40 year chart shows $120- $140 could be in play for Brent

That figure was the total amount of stock lending at end Jan, granted there could be a small amount of naked shorting on top, but as a yardstick its fairly reliable.

There was only a total of 1.98% stock on loan here so there isn't really much of a 'shorting crew'
Much more stock on loan on POLY and I suspect the bounce there will just be them taking profit and buying back stock.

Well if you look on the 40 year chart the $120 to $140 does look possible.

Its just lack of buys in my view, whats holding Tullow or Harbour back ? How are Premier Oil shareholders looking now if they kept their Harbour shares ? Didn't Shell used to trade around £20 to £25 with Oil $60 to $85 today its only £19.73

It looks like CEY FRES and POLY costs will be up next year. With oil at $96 that will apply to all mining companies to a greater or lesser extent.

Apparently dodgy companies pay around £13k per year, which is why paid rampers/ derampers often live in Thailand or some such place. That is clearly not happening here due to the dire SP performance ( where is the pump ? ) If it were happening we would have multiple super positive rose tinted RNS's designed to be catnip to investors, there would also be some company/ pro money used to force up the shareprice, Which by the looks of things couldn't be further from the truth.
By rights romaron should be short the equity to hedge his bond exposure, so I guess we should at least be thankful he is positive on the stock not negative.
