NDN that’s only one outcome, but even does not include that sky would move all their current OR customer to Vm where there’s overlap. The other outcome is they won’t go for a sharing deal.

Pound share - exactly. So as open reach the operation of that network contributed something close to £1.5bln into Bt bottom line. I think this comes with pension and other liabilities & a huge requirement for future investment. This is a tough call in my mind. It’s difficult to see how this could pan out, but I doubt there’s a serious offer with those liabilities there.

I’ve not seen rumours about Open Reach? In my opinion BT without open reach would be a very diminished company. That’s quite a bit of revenue and profit removed from the balance sheet. If it helps lower pension liability, it’s also a reason why the sale price would be low, or it would stop the buyout in its tracks. It’s difficult to see how a bit of cash now, but loosing ongoing revenue would be a good thing

Reading some good news online this morning, Euro football rights have been profitable, retail price increase has not had negative effect on churn & finally the next 3 years rights could / should cost less. How ever in my opinion the last one might be wishful thinking, profit might encourage new entrants & BT cannot / should not trust sky to stick to an agreement. But in this case, BT have to win these rights otherwise it’s all over for Bt sport for the next 3 years. (Something sky will already know). Interesting times next few weeks.

Looking at the share price today Velo was right again. After reading village idiot and friends for months, it’s always worth pointing out buying at £1.70 (something). Taking the dividend and now seeing SP climbing to £180 (something) isn’t a bad investment strategy......

& Brexit of course. Most people on here are cheering that one? “we want to damage our country, when do we want it now”. It’s still a no idea Brexit so impossible to tell how bad or how much damage will be inflicted

Nigeco & co - except none of this comes from do gooders, retirement age of 75 comes from the rabid right wing. The same place where they want to remove workers rights and protection & force feed people with food so toxic, you have to bleach it before it’s safe to eat. All the rights and protections your generation has benefited from. The problem as history tells us & with about 1 seconds coherent thought is that to support the kind of small minded petty & evil government who would deliver what you want, won’t stop there... the problem with this kind of meanness is that innocent, decent people get caught up a purge too. Any kind of purge eventually delivers terrible and cruel unfairness. It’s obvious isn’t it?

Dispute my mis-givings I think the same & I put my money where my mouth is whilst using a small portion of shares to ease the landing to the bottom. I actually have an idea for BT to leverage their network and people for the future, I might see if there’s a way to pitch it?.
