When folk start shouting insults instead of listening to what anyone has to say and responding with a sensible counter argument then absolutely what’s is the point in engaging with them?

They are no doubt entrenched in their world view of everything and find it a threat if anybody offers a different view.

Stockpiling is the real ongoing hope for SNG with massive revenue potential, as hoped for by the RM.

Just to make it absolutely crystal clear I am not saying the Coronavirus is a deliberate man made pandemic.

All I am saying is that it has without too much imagination shone a bright light on potential development or misuse of similar by design.

As an added ‘potential’ reason along with the random emergence of future viruses any right thinking nation will need to stockpile.

Falcon I think you misread the ‘What if bit’ it was a scenario or supposition as to what could occur. Not a Conspiracy Theory as you put it.
Governments are attacking each other on a daily basis almost certainly, today, right now. They attack steal, disrupt or destroy important infrastructure remotely and deny it. Fact.
They also kill folk on foreign soil If it suits them right here on British soil and deny culpability. Fact.
So wars are being waged it just happens that despite the finger pointing the stakes are potentially too high to do much about it.
If you think it through poisoning water is a massive undertaking would have limited effect and be pick up pretty quickly. It fails on effectiveness and deniability and probable consequences.
A reworked virus for which you also develop a vaccine is almost the perfect weapon. It does the work for you, remotely and deniable. Even if the intention is not to take over a country remotely you can bring it to its knees offer sympathy and smirk. Job done.
As for far fetched pretty much every sizeable country has facilities that look at developing this stuff and countering it.

The origin of the virus will likely as not never be proved beyond all doubt. There is as we all know a massive Government Chemical and Virology facility in Wuhan which cameras filmed from the outside but the WHO inspectors were denied access to.
The Chinese explanation that that they probably imported the virus from Europe in frozen food seems a bit bizarre.
Anyway even the dumbest world leaders will have seen how incredibly effective a random or randomly ‘leaked’ virus can be in bringing economies and countries to their knees.
Guns,Tanks, Warplanes traditional warfare have just become even more obsolete.
You can bring pretty much any opposing country down and pretty much walk in unopposed by developing a virus with virulent transmissibility and mortality alongside effective antivirals and vaccines. Or more likely do as Putin is prone to doing poison folk from a distance, smirk and deny any involvement.
So a few vials of a reworked deadly virus and an unprepared world is at the mercy of the aggressor.
That is why I think the USA and other Western powers have no choice but to spend colossally on stockpiling effective anti virals and vaccines. SNG and other treatments if proven to be effective and best in class will need stockpiling however this virus behaves.
Because nothing is more certain more virulent viruses are coming either randomly or one day maybe by design.

I think a lot of mature folk realised this from the Government reaction.

Worried frowns, extraordinary track and trace measures, research highlighting reduced effectiveness against new strains from South Africa etc.
Then Government broadcasting into overdrive, all is good, the vaccines are really still effective against new strains. Vaccine makers spouting the same meanwhile the vaccine makers are also saying they need to urgently re work them ?
A bit like investing really weigh up as much relevant information as possible and make up your own mind. In a time of crisis there is always a propaganda war and invariably the truth may also be rationed.
