I respect anybody’s right to make their own decision on taking one of the vaccines. I am reticent about taking medicine willy nilly and if you read the packaging they invariably warn of a spectrum of side effects ranging from minor, moderate to even fatal. But in this case guessing your age range which might have a big baring I would simply say absolutely your choice but risk to benefit?
Great work all. Mabs like Regeneron seem relatively effective but their Achilles seems to be how specific they are. Anybody an idea how long they take to rework against new strains?
Worthy of a lot more exposure. First France then the world! Anybody from SNG care to confirm or deny or is everybody furiously busy ramming product into lorries ? What a nice thought :-)
The key issue ‘should soon be available in France in this indication.’ Literal translation leaves room for interpretation sounds a bit Eric Cantonna. But very intriguing.
Anybody else trying to understand the credibility of the reported French Story?
Has it been confirmed that the French Health Minister was talking about SNG or are we hoping he was referring to SNG? Seems like it has not gone away but is there anything in it? Thanks in advance.

The good doctor saying quite clearly SNG was effectively ignored after phase 2 when we warranted emergency approval and larger study backing.
We didn’t have big Pharmaceutical & political backing but hopefully that’s about to change.
Ideally more than one pharma will come knocking and give us a price we can be happy with. I would be happy to multi-bag with a takeover and have global success if that’s what it takes to stop being overlooked.
Inertia and finely balanced but the scales will tip in our favour when confidence returns. The good thing for me is this company is pushing on and letting investors know, the share price will eventually reflect this.
So going back to the original question which was wether 100% of people needed vaccination. Clearly there is antibody resistance similar or better than that offered by vaccination. The chances of getting reinfected a second time are a lot lower (83% ?).
But then living as a student and working in a hospital setting where sick people end up with Coronavirus there is fair to say a greater risk of getting reinfected given the increased viral loads etc maybe?
I think Baffyman was simply asking a legitimate question? I have tried to get you to reflect on a tendency to go in guns blazing and **** folk off but it obviously hasn’t worked.
One of my sons who is a med student was pondering the same question just last night. He’s had the virus twice and as a result will now have developed some level of antibody resistance. He is a very bright guy and was unsure what if any benefit having a vaccine would have which is only trying to mimic what his body will have already done ? So yes is it sensible to vaccinate 100% of the population?

I may be deluding myself but statistically I should be low risk but that is an unknown.
What is also unclear is the efficacy of all the different vaccines depending which data you believe.
So despite probable limited use to me I will get vaccinated on the off chance it stops me spreading it to someone else for whom it might lead to life changing debility or death. That’s my risk analysis. It might help me or even might not be great be for me but there’s a fair chance it might unintentionally stop me harming others.

Try saying it with a Clouseau accent sounds passable Gallic. But I think they would rather rub garlic in their eyes than save France with a very British product. Can’t see it.
