Doubled my holding today. I took the dividend but didn't expect it to fall as much. Bonus.

The complexity and number of processes probably makes regulation a very hit and miss affair. Imagine trying to make a case in a law court. And with the government we have now there is zero chance of getting them interested in tackling such abuses IMO.

Test or no test this is still a good company and should be well placed to benefit from increased government defence spending (if it happens).

I am always interested in alternatives to the stock I look at. So long as it is not absurd ramping.

However, NXT has interested me for some time, knowing they have long competent history and their current finances look sound. I have bought a few today anyway at hopefully a good price.

Got in yesterday. My only supermarket stock since I can't buy Lidl or Aldi. In the past I have traded it with good results but I plan to hold it a bit longer this time.

Which is understandable. It doesn't diminish the underlying merit of Ocado in my view. I'll wait a little longer hoping to pick up more for a good price.

How can a warehousing company operating throughout Europe can fail to do well regardless of Brexit? In the UK, stockpiling is the name of the game given the chaos starting to screw up trade (see Felixstowe). I am not looking forward to Brexit on 1 January 21 but Segro results day on February 21 might help sweeten the bitter pill.

Agreed and back in July the Motley Fool falsely reported they'd suspended the dividend! I would say this news makes the position clearer for investors who might have been concerned.

Took some profits yesterday but only to take up a cheap stock elsewhere. No plans to sell more when they are maintaining the divi whilst others have cut theirs. No hissy fit from me!

Taking advantage of the recent price rise I took profits from AV. and am out. It's good to have a bit of cash right now. Last week I spent my ISA entitlement for 2020 buying cut price stocks that did quite well on Monday. Not the real high risers unfortunately but solid stuff like ULVR and GSK, also dipped back into OCDO. I already have enough insurers in LGEN and MNG. Unfortunately there is something fishy about AV. and they have lost my confidence.

An alternative to virolens chosen by UK's government has apparently proved a failure:

"The 20-minute tests, on which the government has spent £323m for use with hospital and care home staff with no symptoms, identified only 46.7% of infections during a crucial trial in Manchester and Salford last month.

This means that many of those carrying Covid-19 were wrongly told they were free of the virus, potentially allowing them to infect others.

The tests were due to be used in the UK’s first city-wide mass-testing initiative, which starts in Liverpool on Friday. There was confusion on Thursday night when the council suggested they would no longer be deployed as part of the trial, but the government later insisted that small numbers of NHS staff would be using them in hospitals.

Scientists with Greater Manchester’s mass testing expert group (MTEG) raised significant concerns about the accuracy of the OptiGene Direct RT-Lamp tests this week, and said the technology should not be widely used as intended in hospitals or care homes."

It's true that the Optigene system was available much earlier, but it is also true that Virolens is available now and has not received £323m of government spending. Optigene is based right next to Heathrow yet were not chosen to provide the airport's test system. Virolens was chosen.
