The advice of not constantly checking is sound. It's good for your mental well-being. I don't think anyone would argue with that, and as I say... Alerts are there to be used for any major movement. I have one set at 80 and 100 on this. Do I check still? Yes but I try my very best not to purposefully look at it many times per day. It's not healthy. It's just variable reward at play, a dopamine addiction like people who can't get off Facebook... Same process at play.
All my point was there was some strawman action going on. A sound bit of advice was made. Nothing was said about don't look for six months etc, i.e. the original statement was being misrepresented.
