Looking like this was some overoptimistic, dare I say co formation biased induced reading of some dodgy data? The evidence was there that it might not be all it looked to be right?

Nobody called anyone a lair and trigger happy was referring to anyone who just lapped it up.

When information is put out without a supporting link or a clear explanation of where to verify the claims, one should expect diligent people to be cautious.

Having said all that, the guy comes across as a bit of a sensitive, egotistical tit so I am not concerned if any offence was caused.

Note - evidence is not because I don't think it's true. More because I would love it to be but have been burnt by bull****ters and trigger happy confirmation bias folk on boards before.
