If I’m honest I’m not expecting any surge due to T20 trades.....but if there was 10m short that had to be closed today then it would be a bit like VW back in 2008 when desperate shorts closing out pushed the shares up to make it (temporarily) the most valuable company in the world.

Steve: year end is 31/12, so the half year will be to end June. given that the port only opened at the very end of the very end of June i can't see there being anything.

the real value will be in the commentary. could well be profitable for the first time, but that's kind of irrelevant now that Tema is in the sights.

bloomberg, so no. think it's compiled from shareholder registry data, but seems that whilst the FTSE100 is updated monthly, the rest of the market is quarterly - so it may actually be fairly out of date.

I see SVS had 3.57m shares as of 18/7/19. of that 2.34m were in client accounts....i wonder if that's grown significantly or if the 10m went into the SVS Aggressive Growth fund which only held 318k shares.

interesting to see if the administrator has to make usual market disclosures. they may be allowed to keep quiet. maybe PF will know where those 10m shares went and can tell us if its SVS at some point.

so there was a 125k sell that was cancelled a day later...they also seem to have "corrected" the 151.26k trade at the same time....but nothing seems to have changed.
also 15k bought and cancelled yesterday seems to have appeared...............there are certainly a lot of cancelled trades going on here.

that's very bearish of you DHC.....where's the expectation that the actual contract falls before then? still 5 trading days to go!

odd, they must have moved it. was confirmed on bloomberg that they it's the 27th September.....they're normally spot on once confirmed.

well, i'll take that as a positive.....not in terms of Tema as that's out of their hands, but in terms of them not feeling they have to wait until the last minute as per usual.

where does it say next week? i have it as 27th September this year

did people buy yesterday thinking there was a leak? this share doesn't leak (SQ aside!).

client assets are treated very carefully and very separately to a company's own assets. there should* be absolutely no issue with getting your assets back. The regulators are seriously hot on this and there are all manner of CASS regulations, audits and reporting that goes on behind the scenes.

* the only issue is IF the company in question has broken the rules...then you get into litigation and risk to your assets. the FSCS overs £85k...so really nothing to worry about in the long term.

i'd just open an account with a different house and then you can buy more if you want and can afford (assuming your cash isn't tied up in SVS)...then your WSG shares will probably just be a longer term holding that you planned and as such should make you more money.

Jimzi - to be fair, that strategy would have worked nearly every time there was a large spoke on no RNS in the last couple of years......hopefully this time it's different!

Rupps: I thjnk you’re right that we won’t get anything tomorrow. But that doesn’t change my investment thesis one jot. I still think we’ll get the RNS in the next few weeks.

I’d like to take a little profit since the broader equity market seems to be falling out of bed. Nice time to get some cash to invest....just hope it happens before September.

well as long as it doesn't get into the reverse vomiting camel formation then we should be ok for another 6 and a half minutes....but on the long term trend lines it looks like it's got a resistance at 99p by 8:05 am......beyond that it's anybody's guess.

where is our chartist these days? it is nice not to have scroll through numerous massively long posts.

no RNS tomorrow for me...this thing doesn't leak.
could be the old pump and dump games of earlier in the year, but i'm hopeful that it's genuine buying / short covering.

all the containers will be scanned. the terms of the contract have not been released (obviously) but a the AGM PF certainly gave the impression that it was a per container fee

well that was the most inevitable RNS we've had in a wile.....maybe we can make it 3 in row with an RNS tomorrow?? i'd take another intraday one for sure!

they've confirmed we have the money - which is great - but surely they'll have to make comment that they only have a single broker and they are happy with that for the time being? then the week after next they can confirm Ghana and the even lower than normal liquidity in August can do the rest for the share price.
