I think management look at Tema differently. They have men on the ground and effectively are carrying out the work of the contact (the one that doesn’t exist)

All the others are theoretical and can basically be ignored until they materialise. The share price (quite correctly in my view) has nothing baked in for the other MOUs.....we should just pretend they’re all gone and worthless until proven otherwise. (Cue jokes by Foxy here)

For me, Tema is different. It’s a contract in all but name. And I just hope that the holdup is simply red tape with the port trying to get many contracts sorted in short order, rather than something more sinister.

I’m still hugely confident that Tema comes good....just on what terms is the question to me.

I’m with you on this h&n. For us to to get thisncontract going I think we’d need Trumpy to fully recommit to the JCPOA (with whatever alterations he needs to be happy that he can spin it as a win). Even then I suspect PF would be cautious and would want it in a separate company to avoid contagion if things turn sour in Iran again.

Ozzie my dear.....we supply scanners. We don’t manufacture them but we do sell them for a profit. We pitched to Tema to sell them “our scanners” and they preferred Smith’s which are apparently better. We don’t supply Smith scanners, they’re big enough to do their own sales.

h&N. I know the 4 scanners are there, but I was under the impression that they were for the current terminal 3 and that more would be required for the expansions that are under way.

....and a (possibility overly) positive view on this may be that smiths have not done a good enough job delivering and when the Terminal expands we may be able to flog them our scanners!!

I do very much remember DHC’s pre re-purchase skepticism about this share. I preferred it back then....as soon as he bought back in we went back to the copy and paste of “facts” about WSG as if he’s preaching to anyone who stumbles onto this board and may be persuaded to buy.

DHC: it helps if you tell us to whom you’re talking on a thread with multiple people chiming in. Really does make it easier to tell what you’re on about.....especially when the sentence construction is questionable. Just IMO obviously.

I don’t think there will be much switch over from the old port. I think the current terminal 3 is at capacity in terms of ship numbers and any growth will come from the next phase AND having to attract more ships (which I don’t doubt they’ll do, but no guarantees)

B: you gave a reasoned argument why you think 80p is silly but nothing on why you thought 6p was reasonable. “Look at the chart 2 months ago”. I assume you mean the share price and if so that’s the share price before the Tema news came out. So you’re saying that within 2 weeks the Ghana contract will officially have fallen through? Any evidence for this?
3: rather ironically, “Unless you have a low IQ?” Is neither a question nor a complete sentence, let alone paragraph.
4: apostrophes are rather useful in terms of making your points clearer.
5: why not post on boards where you are invested? Much more useful.
6: yes there is some ramptastic rubbish posted on this board, but randomly spouting about 6p within 2 weeks just undermines any legitimate argument you have.

wpa5: when the share price was at 80p the market cap was £35. It’s now £13.5m. So if it were to be 50% of that peak we’d be looking at £17.5m....so a share price of a little over 12p.

My personal feel, based on numbers that a few have thrown out here and on the way this flew up past 16p, is that we’d be looking at around 50p Assuming 15 years to the contract.

Ha. Very true Martyn.....but since I’ll be (hopefully) making hundreds of thousands of pounds in profit and paying off the mortgage, I feel that i’d be the more deserving of the treats!!

After 7 years I’ve got a few frivolous things I’d love to buy with a small portion of my profits.

Currently thinking new watch for me and nice 10 year anniversary holiday for me and the Mrs.......might have to be 11 years though ;-)

Slip: they’ve made it clear that there are many other contracts within the port (nothingto do with us) that are all outstanding - told us that implying that it wasn’t a WSG only issue and that the port was being slow.

So I take the contracts comment to reassure that everything for everyone should be sorted soon

They could well still be in a closed period after anyresults if they have any MNPI.

I think it would show the right message to the market if they bought, but if the contract landed a few days later there would be some serious questions asked by the FCA.....and you really don’t want them sniffing around.

I took that comment to mean that all the contracts in the port will be finalised....which does give some confidence that WSG will get it done. But if you think anything in that RNS is a guarantee then you clearly haven’t been following this share for long.

He makes no explicit promise of a date or a statement of a done deal. Yes I think it’s highly likely that he deal is done......but as history shows there really is no guarantee.

yrabs: i can’t see traders being unloved here now. With any knowledge of the company and it’s history you’d have to say that the risk is to the upside in SP. the contract could land any time, another contract could. There won’t be a raise for a bit. So the price may slip slowly down, but the real trading money is to made when the news comes or is really expected. The share price currently doesn’t have he volatility for trading.
