There is obviously a lot of objection to the rises, but good to read that they are sitting down and having it out to some degree. they now just need to make a final decision and move on....meet in the middle and make us all rich! too much to ask????

Or from 6p in June to over 16p in 3 weeks....and the only bad news that has come since then was the share raise...and that wasn't huge dilution.

Human: i see where you're coming from, but still not 100%...once again the RNS was not particularly clear.

I see yesterday's lack of share movement as being due to more jam tomorrow in many people's eyes. some saw it as confirmation that we're getting paid and that the contract as is as good as sealed. others saw it as more delaying and no detail on the payment. we could have received $100 and the RNS would have been technically correct.

Humanbait: How do you know it's backdated...i missed that bit. we also don't know how much we're getting paid on account, just that we're getting paid something.

I'm not overly surprised that we've ended up back in the mid 9s, but i did think we'd have gone up to 11p+ and then gradually slipped back down as we wait for the final RNS.

if anyone believes that it's been derisked (as a few have stated) then it's a great buying opportunity....fill your boots.

Jim: i think the contracts plural relates to the various different parties, rather than multiple contracts with WSG:

"The various contractual arrangements between all the different parties, MPS, Scanport, Westminster and support contractors, are agreed in principle and Westminster is pleased with the outcome. Contracts are due to be signed once certain financial arrangements ..."

When we sign Ghana it will be great. I really think the shares willl fly. I think there will be a little more priced in for other MOUs and hopefully general capital raises to keep the lights on are a thing of the past....but.....but it won’t make the BoD any better at managing expectations and ill hopefully have learnt from this one that you simply can’t take their stated timings expectations as anything more than pipe dreams.

I read it as, we're being paid, but you'd hope so...i.e. it's not exactly a fantastic thing, it's just what would be expected from a normal business. Confirmation helps as it was just an assumption before.

i don't think Foxy is as negative as you think he is......clearly you have a very suspicious mind based on your interpretation of his statement.

If ii'm wrong i'm sure Foxy will correct me and admit that he was implying they're lying....not exactly a crime if he is.

Mike: ah i see your point now.....yes full capacity is some way off i suspect. for a start, offloading 100,000 containers from a single ship will be quicker than the same number from 20 ships....so that will also play a part in the number of containers scanned.

if i'm totally honest i thought before that we'd get the contract by end of Q3, no longer so convinced.....but that's become less important now that we've got confirmation that we're getting paid.

Dodger: if you're investing heavily in AIM it's best to keep the whole thing quiet until you actually sell at a profit.

it's starting to get a little depressing reading it now to be honest.

I agree Mike: i'm not sure what point you're making though. operating at maximum capacity surely reflects how many ships are coming in..that's not really in the port's control if there is the demand.

Jim: when you're dealing with potentially hundreds of thousands of pounds in profit then you want it sooner rather than later....especially when you want to sink it all into SXX...apparently that thing's way over sold and is going to go through the roof in days...best investment on AIM, guaranteed.!!!!!

I really hope you're both right about the Q3 deadline...but the wording from the RNS was fairly soft "We expect all contracts to be finalised in the coming weeks and the port to be fully operational by the end of Q3 2019 and to be contributing to the Division's results in H2"

the bit about contributing to results in H2 seems sound, but all they said was that WSG expects the port to be fully operational by end Q3 - not a guarantee by the port - and there has been some talk of the port already claiming to be fully operational (which i guess it can be even without the fees sorted as i suppose they can just use the old tariffs.

Dodger: glad to hear it's manageable...and that you're not really down on it.

i've got addicted to the SXX board today......i don't know much about miners or SXX, but i do know high yield bonds (financing has been their downfall) and i've got the joy of being totally financially and emotionally separated from that company......it really is amazing to read some of the stuff they're writing on there. one person was actually trying to spin it all as a positive. they make DHC look like Foxy (IMO)

anyway, good luck on this new "long term" holding in WSG......it really does feel like it's different this time (where's a raised eyebrow emoji when you need one?)

i can always see why the market is so unimpressed with WSG...certainly compared to my view....but even i'm surprised that we're basically flat on the day. yes we're no closer to knowing the timing, but we now know that we're getting paid......to me that's material positive news.

DHC: I'm a prime example of why people don't buy and hold....i've been doing so for 7 years and as a result am sitting on a large paper loss. i buy, i hold, the share price falls. (i'm not selling until the Tema RNS, and even then only a portion.

Slip: not attempting to defend Foxy (he's big enough and ugly enough to look after himself) but what did he say that was accusing the company of lying in an RNS??

i think people over estimate traders on here......shorting this (and it's not all that easy to short AIM stocks) anywhere below 10p is a risky business with limited upside. i don't think that traders would want to be talking down this share currently, they'd want to wait for the next jump up and short it then....if anything they should be ramping it right now

....here's my concern: whilst i think the deal is very safe and that we'll hear the final terms when things settle, the SP hasn't jumped much today ( currently 5.5%) and i don't see why it will go up from here in the next few days based purely on the information that is now in the market. So is this going to drift back down to low 9's or even 8s before the next RNS?

i know that the price doesn't have much impact if you don't sell, but just wondering if anyone has a credible reason for the shares to gain from here (in the past they tend to pop on RNSs and then slowly fade)

Slip: calm down, no need to get so offensive. we're all frustrated that the contract hasn't come yet and that this update hasn't given the SP a bit more of a kick.....but don't take it out on people who are expressing views that clearly the market agrees with (look at the SP)
