so my plan is as follows: i've loaded up to as much as i reasonably can already and now i'm in a hold a weight pattern. Say the news comes next week when the SP is 10p. for argument's sake let's say the RNS implies revenue that would lead the share price to be 50-60p. I'm not convinced that this can open up any more than 100%. That would leave it at 20p to start attempting to buy - with plenty of room left for profit. so maybe it could close the day up 200-300%, much more is a big ask surely?
the point i'm, rather inelegantly, making is that there should be a chance for a de-risked top up over the course of the RNS day...no?

Don;t worry Invest - a: it's not coming today, and 2: as DHC used to (repeatedly) say ...once this RNS drops you won't be able to buy anyway.

i agree Ian....don't see an RNS today and as PK says, this puppy is watertight in terms leaky information.

we're only a little over 40 days since the initial LoI, and i know we've had an extension, but it was always going to be a push to get it sorted by the end of July anyway....PF alluded to that at the AGM. Africa takes time......and now the funding is done i'm happy for this month.....if we get into September with no news then things might have to change.

I'll buy you more than a beer if the RNS lands today....i'll send you a case of champagne.*

* that's assuming it's an RNS stating the signing of the contract...i'm not giving you gifts for another funding RNS !!!! ;-)

i agree Feeks. normally i'm on the side of management keeping quiet and not reporting meaningless twaddle - this is normally because there is no news to share. Thanks to the recent raise you'd hope that WSG don't need money any time soon and therefore can afford to be honest with us......as people have said, PF told us about Tema to have an easier time at the AGM, he's made his bed and now should face the consequences.....i.e. inquisitive shareholders!

Hopefully Nigerian ports are happy to go slightly lower quality than Smiths, in which case WSG might be able to flog them some scanners as well as run them.

There was a 300k sale earlier too....some big trades both ways. Volume is still way up on the pre AGM levels.

whilst the maths works, the £13k i assume comes from the cancelled 132,500 trades? but there are 2 purchases (at 9.9 and 9.81p) so i think the cancelled trades match these.....thus entirely unrelated to the £33k trades.

plus you can't buy more than £20 into an ISA and then cancel....you shouldn't be allowed to buy that many in the first palce - certainly not in a single trade.

Fred: i agree with that maths...but what is the point you're making?

you can buy as much as you like in an ISA....if the ISA is big enough. but you can only add £20k in a single year. so if your ISA is already worth £200k then you can buy what you like with it, but B&I is always adding new money so would need to be within a single years' allowance.

since these two trades were worth around £33k they can't be B&I

Ozzie I think the assumptions come from two places. Firstly, PF said as much at the AGM. Secondly the RNS mentioned that we would start to accrue fees once the final terms were decided.

Maybe the contract RNS will make it clearer, but as I’ve said before, it’s basically irrelevant given the much larger fees we’re talking about over the next few years. .

nice to see a bit of blue.....even if it is on low volume...plus a tight spread.

To me we're just waiting a week or two for the contract....happier if the share is blue than drifting down, but shouldn't make an difference unless your leveraged or plan to sell.

that's good....would obviously be better if we were actually getting paid for them, but good news for once the details are finalised.

If we are awaiting finalisation of the new tariffs, surely WSG and MPS could come to an arrangement were we get paid x under the current tariffs and y if they change?

8 ships - around 4000 TEU, call it 2000 containers a ship, 16k a week, 800k containers a year? that seems like quite a lot when compared to the total port capacity (prior to the next sage of expansion)....not bad at all!

i don't think that terminal 3 is anything close to being up to capacity, so i assume there is already someone managing, but they need more as the container numbers increase. Plus, they only have a relatively small team there currently so maybe the work is being done by existing WSG employees.

finally, they currently don't need someone to manage the P&L...because it's just L at the moment ;-)

i get you frustration Qualia, after 7 years i very much share it.....but my take is that it will happen when it happens. the only advantage of the BB knowing more is that it would increase the price in the run up to the contract....that would be nice, but would be material information (MNPI) and thus PF wouldn't be able to give it to one investor....catch 22.

best thing if to forget about it over the weekend, enjoy yourself, take comfort that the placing is out of the way and hope that news comes next week.

i believe they are doing things for "free" until the final terms are sorted. the last update was 2000, that was on the 17th July. looks like they tend to have 2 ships in for a bout 3 days each....and they often seem to be high 4000 TEU capacity. so i think if you say each ship has 2000 containers (and most are 40 TEU) then you're talking around 9,000 a week, so far

but all of this is irrelevant as WSG won't be paying their staff per container, and aren't receiving any fees.
