They didn't exactly expand on the Iran details.......it's word for word what they wrote in the xmas eve RNS - i mean it's literally a cut and paste.

to be fair it's not been all that long (only 36 days) but a cut and paste feels a tad lazy

20+ is pushing it don’t you think? They signed about 10 before they went silent. Can’t imagine they’ve signed that many more in the past 18 months or so.....especially given the focus on Iran and the African MoU

Mike: can you explain where you got the idea that they said they hoped to sign off two additional contracts before year end?? They reiterated what they’d said in September that they hoped to sign at least one additional contract this year. That was the African contract in addition to Iran. They then talked about said contract and thus implied that they had not met that target (given that they were saying this on 24th December) So in summary, they have the Iran deal awaiting letter exchange, a drafted African contract that they are implying is near completion and then a handful of MoUs that we haven’t recieved an update on in a number of years. I’m all for getting excited and look forward to selling some shares at over a pound (post africa and Iran), but nothing the company has ever said leads me to believe that another contract on top of this is remotely likely. If I’m wrong then the share will be well north of £1.50 and I’ll happily buy you a beer or 6 to apologies for being so wrong.

I’ll have to disagree on that one. It’s particulalry easy to contemplate that they just had one contract that they thought would get done. I’m always one of the first to defend the BoD in terms of their RNS’s. Ie that they don’t lie. And I maintain that they don’t. But one thing that they do is to make the cleverly worded statements that can imply a lot and promise nothing. My take is that they thought the African MoU would get over the line and there was always the possibility that another would too.....because there is always is that possibility. I like PF and was impressed by Sir Tone but they have a clear record of being over confident about outcomes.

Surely they can tow her out a little, scuttle her and create and artificial reef. Then she can at least attract sea life divers rather than floating debris and ship yards. Ps. Foxy I love the pun

The impact on the SP will be dependent upon the market’s expectation. I personally feel that increased revenue of 66% without a massive decrease in margins would push up the share price a little. They won’t announce the Africa deal unless it happens to be signed the day before. They have to inform the market of material impacts immediately and so they need to let us know as soon as the contract is signed. I always (from when we knew it was Iran)said that I saw Iran as Q4 18 and Africa as Q1 19. But I now think Iran may even be H2 19 and probably par Q1 for Africa (if it happens)

I’d agree that most people are here for Iran, but to be me the share price is saying that’s not going to happen. I think that if WSG became sustainable without Iran then it should be valued at more than £13.8m. Obviously brekaeven in 2018 doesn’t make it sustainable since there was such a large one off transaction. So long and short is that I think it should help the share price a little. But don’t see it well into the teens until the Africa MoU comes off

Only four more days for the January trading update to fall.....bets on the 31st?? You’d hope they could massage it enough to push up the shares a little.....but I guess there is little incentive unless they want to raise more capital.

price does feel very low still and they should be able to spruce up the update sufficiently to have a little pop in the share price i assume.......bit more detail on Africa, hopefully positive EBITDA (alas solely on the back of that one-off $4.5m deal) and some more "progress" on the Iran deal that actually is nothing more than words.

i agree foxy....we have no place on the main market...disclosures are too onerous, don't see any benefit.

i thought it was a very cleverly written RNS - hinting at main markets and big things to come without promising anything....i'll take it with a bucket of salt.

always good to get new, experienced people, i'm aghast that he's the first accountant on the board (i'm assuming that by the way this RNS was written) - and that kind of thing is exactly why we have no place in the real markets.

also, just a reminder, the Iran deal is transformational......the other potential MOUs are just transformational from our current position....they are much much smaller than Iran, so once that gets sorted additions will be welcome but no longer transformational. It will be a long time before we're signing more hundreds of million dollar deals

There is currently little to laugh abot unfortunately. Apart from the fact WSG would actually benefit from Brexit.....the only tiny silver lining to me if do fall out of the EU. But imagine the stupid grins we’re all going to be sporting if this Iran deal does come through. We’ll be laughing at anything and everything then.

haha...yeah, most ramps start with a pointer towards the how thin the trading is. i love a caveated ramp....so to be fair, if it were an attempted ramp then it would be a pretty poor one.

finally, to answer your question i was looking at the list of trades as per Bloomberg. at that time (1pm) all trades were either at or above mid. Since 2pm they appear to generally be at or below mid.,

a tip when looking at trades is to check the time. so next time look at when i posted and then you can see what information i had at that time.

whilst trading is thin....most, if not all of the trades seem to be buys

Sharm in the press claiming that the British ban should be listed after working with British security teams to upgrade its airports. Surely Egypt, is nearly dodgy/tin pot/small enough to want our help??? Oh well

i'm hoping to get out of this particular tranche before the Iran deal....i just see this hitting 20p again before all that long....it's been in doldrums for too long, historically it always has a pick up every now and then. in the past i've just added and added, now i'm looking for a little profit off this one.

i think i'm now up to 35,000 shares bought since i last said i'd not be buying any more pre Iran.

i always said last year that i didn't see the African MoU happening in 2018, but for some reason i've taken their "draft contracts" at face value and see that and the jan update as near term catalysts - see Africa as Q1 rather than January thing)

when you're in up to your neck, what's an extra £3.5k on the table?

and it will be significantly less than the Iran one....they made it clear at the AGM that other pipeline contracts were not in that ball park

to be honest for a while i've wanted the Iran contract sorted before anything else in the hope of getting a few more shares cheaply (i.e. when it's up 200% and still only 30p). but now i think i want Africa first so that we are in a better position to really gain some traction if the Iran deal does come.

I had thought that the Iran deal (or ME deal as was) should push us north of £1....there has been a little dilution since then and more hits to investor confidence. i fear that the price move (whilst being impressive) will still fall short of my expectations. That is unless the sanctions are dropped and Iran promptly moves us up from 1 airport to a number of others....that i feel would have to push us well through £1.
