I agree Sickharry, although I am surprised they are estimating an AISC of $896 when the g/t is only around 1.5g/t.

I can only explain it as the open pit and efficient energy approach, with low wages and (relatively) low tax rate for Liberia.

The difficulty with Simply Wall St is that it is written by a Bot. So it provides good quantitative analysis but the way the data is interpreted and presented is to generate "Click Bait" and to drive advertising by driving clicks. The tabloid of the finance world, you might say.

But the fact EQT is shown favourably is good to know.

The main reason I hold is more qualitative. Gervais Williams, in my opinion, is a very successful stock picker. When you watch what he has to say and particularly "we looked at the technology and were very impressed with the numbers" that was a key reason to invest in EQT:

Number, Best way to think of it is if you hold 1m shares in Eqtec then you own 1/8435 of the company so about 0.01% of the company. If the company makes £8.4m profit then your slice of profit is £8.435m/8435 = £1000. Each (of your 1m) shares generated 0.1p profit - or EPS.

i.e. it's the proportion of shares you own is what matters relative to the company's current and future performance.

Hi Pablo, I think 10-20x price-to-sales is way above what's achievable. But if we take a more realistic 2x P/S ratio then the read across uplift in value is 215% ($200m/$92.7m) of the last funding round and the read across value for us Allied Minds shareholders is 28p x 2.15 = 60p per share.

I'd be more than happy with that, and there's similar prospects for uplifts on their other holdings too. I mentioned earlier on today the 1.35p per share buybacks..... but the bigger implication is that the Board have told us that they've assessed the cash requirements of their portfolio and are happy that $3m is surplus - i.e. the portfolio can self fund (or I suppose we are happy to dilute our percentage in future funding rounds). I take this to mean that they have a trajectory and I find that very encouraging.

The patient investor will hopefully be rewarded.

Based on the capital markets day they are well aware of the frustrations of investors. To their advantage I can see how several of the portfolio will flourish and succeed. Once some positive progress has been achieved, then this will sharply rerate.
